Don't paint the whole thing, maybe just the runners and polish everything else like I did.

Bimma86. What did you use to polish every thing? How long did it take. Every thing looks bad azz. Are those factory vette valve covers.

Bluegrassz, first off the valve covers are my stock iroc valve covers (1986) believe it or not. And I didnt do the polishing/porting, 85SportCoupeto89RS did all the work. He replied a few entries up. I would contact him to awnser some of your questions about how to do it and how long it takes. But thanks for all the compliments guys!!

You done a good job with the photoshop. Is that the color you are going with? I though you were going with the LT1 or was the TPI your old motor.

TPI is the old motor, LT1 is going in soon, just cleaning it up and waiting on motor mounts.
89transam photoshopped the pic, looks decent, I like it.
Car is going to be more silvery, not grey like the pic,

Mine is polished and painted.
The upper & lower Intakes are painted silver with clear coat on top, and the runners are polished.

HELP! I've got an 87 Iroc with the 5.7 350. I found a plenum, runners and a manifold from an 86 vette for sale. The guy is holding them for me until I get back to him so I need an answer relatively quickly. Will this setup work with my engine? I know there were differences with the 86 vs 87 Camaros but what about the 86 Vette? Is the MAF and all that the same? Will the manifold bolt right in? I appreciate any help you guys can lend. I know these questions may be stupid but this is my first project car so I'm just learning all this stuff.

Thanks.

The runners are polished now, new throttlebody, headers, wires, cap rotor coil, etc. That pic is old, right after I did the plenum by hand.

The powder coat look good. It should hold up well.

I understand how to polish the plenum, it is the runners that I am having trouble with. Do you polish them with a tool or wet sand by hand. It seems like there is a spot or two that would be hard to get to.
