they are all similar except for the RS. I think the Z28 and IROCS look best because of the louvered hood/blistered hood. you could order both with the 350tpi 4 speed and 305tpi 5speed. those are the two best stock motors beside turbo trans ams and firehawks, if you would call that stock

quick down and dirty camaro lesson
82-87 they made Z-28's
85-87 they had both Z-28s and IROC-Zs the IROCs were performance add on (suspention and stuff like that)
88-90 they droped the z-28 and only had IROCs
(and V6 camaros too)
91-92 they went back to z-28s
89-92 they made the RS (V6 and V8)
the RS had a 305 tbi engine
the z-28s and IROCs had 305s and 350s, TPI
the best would be the later IROCs with the L98 engine (350ci {the same that was in the vette at the time})
that is a quick and dirty
later

i thought Z28's were limited to 305TPI and 4 bbl.

i thought you had to get an IROC for a 350TPI

You could get a 91-92 350TPI, also a quick correction about the run down list, they did make TBI IROCs, what were they thinking..

The best cars in performance would be the 87-90 IROC-Z28's and the 91-92 Z28's with the 350 TPI. They were the only Camaros available with them and were the highest in all around regular production performance.

In looks, IMO the IROC-Z looks alot better than the 91-92's, and I think they might handle slightly better than them too. But the later cars are probably slightly faster, maybe.

i shoulda said that you couldnt get the 350 TPI in the 87 Z28

THAT had to be an IROC to get a 350 TPI
