there is a guy around here (birmingham) that rolls in a 91-92 RS
thats sorta ghetto-fied.
its got 18" chrome wheels that belong on a POS rap stars SUV that are bowlegged as hell, black paint with humongous flakes, a supra style one size-fits all spoiler, and that lame a$$ mirror tint

I'm pretty sure that's powermite's car. They are image wheels I believe.

I have been talking with a rep. from a place that sells boydcoddington wheels, and i was asking about having 18 x 9 front and 18 x 10 rear.... and he was saying that they couldnt guarantee that i would hit hte fron inner wheel wells with tha kind of size... so i think i have decided to go 18 x 8 front and 18 x 9 rear...

He mentioned that the 18 x 8's would have a backspacing of 4.5" Does that sound about right ? What would the backspacing be on 18 x 9's and/or 9.5's on the rear??

Yeah that maroon one is powermites's car. He's rolln on 18's with 265/40/zr18 rubber on all corners and 13" big brake kit behind those bad boys. I believe there was another post from Germany that had a white 91 z28 (?) with some 18" BBS wheels from a BMW M5 (the stocks). It looks really really nice!! I plan to run 18's on my next Camaro as well. I'm gonna follow powermites proven setup with 18x9 all around and 265/40/zr18 rubber. I will also be going with a full coilover setup from ground control ..... that is untill I do my EVO ... then I'll be getting a set of custom made rims 18x9 in front and 18x13 in the rear and i'll move my 18x9 set to the car you see below in my sig.

you should check out the brand KMC. They have some nice rims for cheap. Before I got my rims I was about to get the KMC Stealths ( its a truck or suv rim )( theyl make it for any car or offset though ). I have a few buddies who have them on trucks and they are badd azz in person.Plus I think they are kinda Iroc style any ways.

The KMC Stealths are really nice looking as long as they are fairly big. If you look on GT auto Accesories' page, there is a red GTA with flames and KMC stealths, but they are like 15s or 16s and they look funny. There is also a black ford ranger in my neighborhood with some 16" KMC stealths and like 30 series tires on stock ride height and it looks absolutely awful. They just dont look right unless they are at least 17s.
