Back to a third gen for me

Well , since my 95 TA vert was stolen last Saturday I ended up back in a third . I found my perfect car , its exactly what Ive always wanted but never been able to find . 92 Z28 , Teal w/ light grey custom cloth interior , 5.7 , G92 , no T-tops . Only has 45K miles . The original owner never took the plastic off the floor from when it was new . Will definately have pics up prolly on Sunday ...damn rain

It's probably an LT1 engine with LT4 heads and intake. It's a common thing to do to an LT1, since LT4 heads can be ported further than LT1 heads, and the intake flows slightly better. Good to hear you're back in the thirdgen game Derek! But now you have to upgrade the tranny, the rear end, the body LOL. Ohh the thirdgen shortcomings lol. But you can't beat the body style . Hopefully this LT1 swap runs a lot longer than the last.

Derek, Sounds like a really nice car. You should bring it over to the Ohio gathering in June. I would like to see it.

Your old chrome IROC wheels are on a car that is from this board. Not sure if you knew that. The user name is Mac.

It is still kind of preliminary at this point. Keep watching www.nethirdgen.org for update.

So far plans are Test n Tune on Friday. Saturday race if you want or go to a cruise-in Saturday evening. Sunday we may do a car show at Dragway 42. Monday is a trip to Cedar Point.

We will be staying at a campground I am a member of or I am getting a list of area hotels if that is more your style.

If they have stole yer 95 vert, than they have either been watching u for a while or its someone who knows u unless they stole yer key, because its quite hard to get thru VATS unless u know which resistor the person is using...

I have heard that it is easy to steal them because all you have to do is drill throught the hood into the battery and then tow it off. This is what they were doing in Phoenix alot about two or three years ago.

Whut is drilling thru the hood into the battery gunna do... VATS isnt an alarm.... It just disables power to your starter... If u wanted to tow the car away, u can just pick it up from the rear and leave..

Well , I had vats disabled thru LT1_edit because it was starting to not work and was leaving me stranded ALOT . I truly HATE GM's vats system with a passion . Vats will not stop a pro . If you can get under the hood you can jump a wire between starter and positive battery cable and the car is started

89blackGTA- Thanks man

Ya VATS is ****.... My buddy has a 95 trans am convertible and his key is starting to get alittle chewed up and it leaves us stranded also... Than he tries it a few times and it wont work again for like 4 mins or something... We have ricers laughing at us... Those ******.. How the hell do u jump a wire? Yer positive wire goes to the starter and off the starter is yer ignition wire... Whut do u have to do to jump it? This may help when we are stuck in the rain next time...
