Definately performance first (this coming from a V6 guy!) and then looks. I always say that when my car is painted, it is done!

That would depend, are you putting enough power through that you really need a T56. If no, then maybe it might be better to go with the wheels first, it would add to the look of the car, without harming performance.

here is my .02:

It really depends on what is more important to you though, looks or performace.....I know that if it was me, I would go with the rims first, I think that most people will tell you 18" wheels are overkill....everyone tells me that you get better performance out of 17" wheels, which leads me to think you are going for looks first (show car?) and performance second...

(I have an automatic 3.1L V6 - not much their performance wise, so....)

If you really can't decide which to do first just save up the money for both and do them at the same time

Right now....? Stock.

Soon this summer..... full exhaust, and then Stealth ram, heads, and cam.

So if there is any cash leftover.... do I do the wheels or the t56?...hmmmm

Right now I have the '88 Iroc wheels. Plan to polish them a bit while I still have em.

I'd say T56. Cause once you get those wheels you're going to be pissed you're brakes look so tiny behind those wheels you'll want to spend money on a brake kit. Then that'll push the T56 out another year. Our tiny *** brakes look so dumb behind big wheels.

I agree. I'd go with T56. Prolly won't happen to my car for another year or so. I'm looking at throwing a total of 5-6k for drivetrain/suspension upgrades. Considering a built 383

I'm going to change the exterior over to look like an 88 Sport Coupe, except for the Trans/Am wing. I like it because it's different I don't want to add any Z28 emblems, or IROC, or RS emblems.

That way people think it's a stock Sport Coupe, heh heh

I'm debating. Is there a way to make the 85-92 z nose work on a car without the ground effects? I want to avoid using the gfx, but I hate the stock 84 Sport Coupe nose.

I would go for the new trans if I were you. I just put in a t56 trans in my TA. That extra gear is nice even though I hardly ever make it into 6th with all the low limits around here. Anyhow, get the trans and polish the rims that you have now so you get a little from both sides. That would increase your performance while--- still boosting your look when you put your polished rims on.
