Lowering and wheels
Lowering and wheels
I want to lower my car, and put new eibach sportline and either zr1 17x11 or z06 18x10.5. will this work, the kit advertises a 2" drop. or should i go with the pro kit which is a 1" drop. also if i get a 4thgen rear end. the tech guild says that it sticks out 2" more, will i not need spacers then?

With the lowering and the wheels I think you might need to flare the fenders a bit, I dont know.
Yes the 4th gen. rear is wider, and you wont need spacers on the back, I think. Maybe with the ZR1 wheels, cause they're wider. Still need spacers on the front, you know that though.
Sorry I'm not much help.

From past opinions on the board go with the prokit. Yeah its less of a drop. but you will scrape alot more with the sportline as well as get a rougher ride.
Like Stngklr said you will not need spacers for the rear if you go with the 4th gen rear. You will need 2 to 2.5 inch spacers for the front wheels though. You can pick them up from www.skulte.com and there are some other places around the web. Maybe www.vettebrakes.com.
Also you wont be able to go with 17x11s in the fronts. You will need to go with the 17x9s

i just posted a topic on the z-06 rims a few days ago...its in this forum under the title z-06. check it out for the info on the 18"x10.5" rims youll need a 2" spacer to keep your stock fender wells. and i also recomend that you use 17"x9.5" rims on the front instead of the 18"x10.5" because you have less fenderwell space in the front. youll also have to use some low profile tires. 35 or 40's, depending. im going with the 17"x9.5" in the front w/ 2.25" spacers or fenderwell mods and 18"x10.5" in the rear w/ 2" spacers or fenderwell mods. GL man and if you go with the z-06s post a pic of how they look since im doing that as one of the last things. go now, show later
I have 17" rims on the front of my car, and there is barely anyroom to put 18" rims there

You might be able to get away with it, if you use lo profile tires, but you are guaranteed to have some rubbing problems

Go with 17" in the front.

Thanks
