Does anyone know how to get tree sap and "that green stuff" off of your car?
I'm about to get my car back from haveing the transmission rebuilt.I told the mechanic to take his time on it,Because i wasn't in a hurry to get it back,And i didn't have all the money to give him.Any way,the car's been sitting at his shop since the middle of febuary,Most of the time under a big shade tree, and it's really dirty, with tree sap,and this "Green stuff" (i think it's pollen or something),Does anyone know how to get this stuff out? The car's white,So the dirt is really noticible.

I am currently using a product called "Goof Off" (that's right, 'Goof'), on the adhesive left behind from the removal of the stock Firebird striping...it works AWESOME! A little dab on a cloth, rub it on, let it set....wipe it off, the sticky residue comes off with it, and doesn't harm the paint. Just check out your local hardware store, I'm sure they'll have something similar.
Holy Crap!!! Why does everyone instantly run to chemicals? Just wash the car to get the green pollen off. The sap will dissolve with hot water and mild vinegar. If the sap remains, wash the car using a clay bar. The sap will be gone and so will any other paint contaminant.

I know what you are saying Scott, but I've used the GOOF OFF stuff myself, it doesnt harm a thing, I actually used this to take off the residue left behind by the IROCZ stickers, worked great. Everything else worked like crap. The only thing you have to do is buff and polish, because the GOOF OFF takes all of the Wax off, and leaves the area dull, no big Whoop.
