Bird ****!!!

I swear the birds are useing my car for targed practise!!
I washed my car yesterday, and I wake up today and half of my car is covered with ****!!! I guess they do not like shining things, so my question is what do you use to get the **** off?
I mean when it is already hard. I do not want to scrape my paint!

Well, I think a full flock took practice on mine a few days ago. Just wash your car, then what is left over, clay bar off. Takes it off with no problems. Also works with tar, sap, and bugs.

Uhh, hot water maybe. Take it to a DIY carwash and hose it off. You shouldnt have to scrape anything, unless the birds ate paint hardener or something.

let soapy water sit on it while you wash the rest of the car....let it sit and sit and keep it wet and it should just wipe off....on all my cars it does.

HAVE YOU GOT A SHOT GUN?

I LAY A WET SOAPY WARM RAG OVER THE SH.. WHILE I WAS THE REST OF CAR WITH THE OCCASIONAL LIGHT RUB WHILE WASHING THE CAR.
IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE AFTER THAT TRY NEAR HOT WATER (soapy) & USE "PLASTIC" FLYWIRE, ITS ALSO A GREAT TRICK TO GET THE BUGS OFF THE FRONT OF YA CAR.

KEEP YA CAR POLISHED THAT MAKES IT EASIER, TEFLON BASED POLISH WORKS BETTER THAN MOST I'VE FOUND BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT BRANDS YOU HAVE IN USA.

Rain X has some stuff that you can use. The windsheild washer fluid that rain x has is made is soposed to help desolve the krap. 3 bucks for a gallon is worth a try. Im not sure if it works any better that water. What I have is a roll of blue paper towels behind the driver seat and a squeegee with a water bottle attached to it. Just spray some water on the $h!t, scrub it off with the rubber corner of the squeegee, wipe it off with a blue towels and drive away. Now you said alot of droppings had been bombed down on your car. Do you park under a tree or something? shade has a price to pay....

Did you know that bird poo is as acidizing as battery acid if left on paint, you have to get that poo off asap, as it can do serious damage to your paint, the damage may only show up after a few years if left on for extended periods of time, but nonetheless thats some pretty stong S.H.I.T !

Jyrx,

Are there many third gens in Estonia? Tell us a bit about it. I think we're all kind of interested, you being right next door to Russia and all. Do the Russians have many third gens?

We don´t have many 3d-gens here in Estonia may-be 20-30 but about half of them a constantly driveable. (Me being one of them ). I live on an island and here we have 3 3d-gens (Mine, white trans AM, and reacently I have seen a black camaro).

It is quite hard to keep a 3d-gens here because the parts are quite expensive and sometimes take forever to get! And also there isn´t any junkjards with parts for our cars.

We have one here in Estonia that is made for raceing and is probably the best aroun here (But seems nothing compared to some of your cars.
The specs:

Mark and model: '82 Chevrolet Camaro Z28
Engine: '87 Big-Block Chevrolet (OHV V8, 4-bolt)
461 cid (7554 cm3)
400+ hp
Gearbox: TH-400
Speed: 220+ km/h (6000+ p/min)
0-100 km/h: 4.0 sek
0-160 km/h: u. 9 sek
1/4 mile: u. 12.4 @ 187.5 km/h

http://www.tqhq.ee/est/cars/lauri.htm -if you want to see some more pictures.

Estonia isn´t quite next to Russia our southern neighbours are Lithuania and Latvia - sorry don´t no anything about them.

wax your damned car! With a fresh coat of wax, the **** won't stick and will wash right off with a hose. I waxed the car last weekend, and found bird **** on my headlight trim ring. It **** on the hood and it slid right off.

Jyrx is this your car?

I have question....how did you get the 91-2 nose to have the cutouts to recieve the turn signals and the headlight. I know that the 91-92 has the slim head lights and the turn signals in the lower bumper?

Whats up with that? I want to get a 91 coupe nose and I am trying to figure up the plan to modify my headlights.

Yes it is my car. Well the nose was custom made and I bought it this way. The turn signal parts, next to the headlights, were cut out of the original bumper end melted together with the 91 bumper. I really like the unique look, but I need a ground effects or something.

I think that nose is the only thing that would make my style ram air hood look good on a 91-92, that was the nostrils still match up with the area of the nose between headlights like it does on mine.

Can you tell where the seam is in the nose? I wonder how hard it would be to do that. I am wanting the non-fx style 91-92 nose.

Funny Bird **** story

So, back when I was at home I had an 89 Camaro RS sitting in my front yard for 2 years ( without it moving ).. a project car that never came to fruition...anyhow, my mother went and purchased a brand new hyundai sonata. A disgusting little thing, some type of barf green color reminiscent of a white grape... anyhow, she parked it next to mine the day she bought it. The next morning we came out side and their were literally atleast 20 seperate wads of bird**** on her car. They were freakin everywhere... one in particular looked like most constipated bird of the flock took a dive bomb at her windshield because it literally splayed across the whole windshield. Needless to say she was pissed. I cannot remember laughing harder in my life.. Mainly due to the fact that in the 2 years that my Camaro sat their, it remained unscathed.

Well, I gave up on that RS project and got myself an 87 IROC Z 350/700r4, a beauty... and I was forced to leave it at my moms house during the week because the fawking ricers at my apartment are haters and keep scratching up my ****. They even tried to jack my rims ( C5 vette rims... would not be cool to lose em) . Anyhow, I parked it their during the week right next to her sonata and sure enough 2 days later, they attacked her car again with vengance, yet my shiny black IROC remained untainted. Maybe the birds have a sense of vindication or style.. who knows.. their A1 in my book though !!
