Digital Camera's

Hey I want to buy a Digital Camera to show you guys the 'Appearance' of my car. What Camera's do you guys have? What was the price? Usd or Cnd? I am looking for a cheap one with decent quality. I am only 15 so money is a concern, yeah.
Thanks,

:hail:

For the majority of my pics I use an HP 1MP camera, sometimes an HP 2MP.

IF you only want it for the net and the computer you'll be fine with a 1MP, 2MP at the most.

The only thing you'll need higher is if you want to make 35mm quality prints or larger than like 8x10 printouts.

Oh, you can get an HP 1MP now for like $80-100.

Yeah, that's the base model one. Though the one I have is a little older, doesn't look like that. I would check Wal-Mart, they usually sell it a lot cheaper.

I would also check out www.bestbuy.com and do a search for Aiptek digital camera, it's like a 4 in 1 hand held size. Does pics, not sure what res. and up to 3 min of video. I was going to buy that before I bought a video grabber*(allows vhs to the computer). At $100 seemed like a good deal on the Aiptek, something to at least check into.

That should be fine, if you only want it for the computer and the net.
This pic has been downsized to 576 X 436

It really depends on what kind of shooting you are doing. If it is outdoors mostly then you can definitely get away with a 1-2 mp camera. I find the cheaper cameras dont do the greatest indoor shots. I wasnt very happy with the HP digital camera I had once. I think it was The 215. I would definitely look into Kodak. They have some of the richest color available. I ordered a Canon S40 a couple of weeks ago. Fighting the company to get it cause it has been backordered everywhere. They run about $570. Its prolly way more camera than you need but I do all kinds of photography.

A couple I would recommend. Kodak DC215, Kodak DC280, Kodak DX3500. Those should be down there in price by now.

Your best bets are a pawn shop. Here are some tips on how to get low prices at a pawn shop.

>go to buy what you want when they are about to close, this way the people that work there just want to go home and dont want to sit around and BS anymore.

>act like you dont really want the camera

>make sure it works

>Say something like this "Now I know pawn shops dont allow returns. So what if I buy this and it works for a day then stops?"

>ask "you dont have any better cameras for the price your charging?"

>treat them like they dont know what they are talking about (which in most cases they dont)

>take off a good chunk of the price and say something like this. "200 dollars? Man... I'll buy it right now if you let it go for
80 bucks"
You know he doesnt want to sell it for that low but he also wants to go home. Yeah they might raise it a bit but if its more that 50.00 take'em down 10.

I traded in a broken guitar, amp, tv, vcr that didnt rewind, some cheap game system and junk like that for a pair of 12" cerwin floor speakers that they wanted 420.00 for. It works! use the pitch!

Here is a pic from my 130.00 1024 X 768 olympus camera. Hehe they wanted 200 bucks + tax.

This is the lowest quality of the camera. I was at a car show and this camera can store 946 pics on this quality.

Sony Mavica, MVC-FD85. It will take pics. up to 1280x960, which is huge. All my pics are taken with it set on 640x480. Not a bad cam, but it was expensive when I got it, about $599. I'm sure you can find good deals on EBAY, put they are used and you dont know what your getting. I'd try BestBuy, Circuit City etc... Buying a cam brand new is the way I'd go, warranty and such.

I would try to get a digital camera that will have at least 1200x1600 resolution because you are going to find that you want it sooner rather than later.

Check out the reviews at www.cnet.com They have reviews of all kind of digital cams in every price range.

Dont go by cnet reviews. I found them to be off of things. I would be lost without cnet but what I do is I browse through the different hardware but I only look at readers reviews. First thing I do is read the negatives, then the postives. Thats why I went with the S40. At the time it had like 300 reviews and not a single negative opnion on it. I have never seen that before.

I have a HP 618 Its a 2.1 MP and its very easy to use. I have loved the results it gives and it is by far the best thing I ever bought for my computer or my car ;0) Ths pics on cardomanin.com have been resized and sharpened once. The cam takes really big pics so they must be sized down to make them a reasonable size. It picks up detail really well and the B&W pics are awesome. If you have any questions about please email me. I think I paid $330 for it with shipping. Check out my site for even more pics using the cam. Here are a few examples.
