Do you have any pictures of that 91 with the RAII hood??? I'd love to see at least one...more is better. I have yet to see a 91-92 with it.
karps, is that the Ram Air I? i think i like it better than the RAII. the RAII too rounded and does flow better with the aero front clip. do you have any more pics of ur car? i'd like to see a shot from the front that shows the hood better. thanx all

Karps TA, I love your car. I own a black 88 GTA and I want to get that hood for mine. Is yours functional, how does the ram air box work with the mass airflow??

Speed88 Thanks,
I'm carbed so I don't have to work with that. I just cut out behind behind the nostrils to get fresh air thru.
Otherwise the hood is designed to flow to the pass. front fender where the stock air cleaner box would be.

Best place to get a Ram Air II Hood?
Where is the best place to get a Ram Air II hood??? I have looked at GT Auto and Hawks Third Gen Parts but I'm not quite into paying $550. I've also checked eBay but they are extremely rare. Does anyone out there know of where to get one for cheaper??? Is anyone willing/wanting to sell theirs???? I will pay good money for it!!!! Thanks!!!

I bought mine from US Body source. It was a rip! They cost like $600 and I had to wait a month cause of back order. The ram Air is not made to be functional or at least not easily or well thought out. The fiberglass work was crap and it took alot of bondo and sanding to get it flat. There is no spot for the tension spring or weather strip. You have to fabricate your own screens for the openings.
I would suggest a ASCD Ram Air hood. It does not look as good but they are made to be functional at least. Plus they sell a kit for it.
BTW. My car is dark purple. :nono:

I dont remember where i was.. but i found the hood.. You could pay a certain amount for the hood as it is.. sanded and primered ready to be painted.. But you could also pay i think $150 more and they will cut and screen the nostrils for you.. not to mention ship you a functional box w/ a K&N Filter in it.. I think it ran about $600.. i'll find the site later and post it.. oh yah it came with 2 Ram-Air decals too
i saw a nice RA hood on a TA at carlisle. they had made it functional by cuting out the nostrils and they had a sheetof plexiglass under the hood withan opening right abouve the air cleaner. it was a buick 455. the car ran 11's.

The hood just seems to flow with the car more due to the gfx and front facia.
