18" z06 rims on the rear?

ok, so I really wanted the 17x11" zr1 rims but without extensive modification (read: anything but spacers) they won't fit. So I thought maybe the 18x10.5 z06 rims would fit, but it doesn't look like anyone here has tried that. I searched for it, but came up with only a vew people that were thinking about doing it and there wasn't a hrad yes or no. Before I go out and get these things I would like to know with a good amount of certainty they will fit. I plan on putting 285/xx/ZR18's or 295/xx/ZR18's on them. Even if someone who hasn't done this has expience with putting wide rims on the back of thirdgen's I would really appriciate the input.

TIA,

Jim

This is Third Gen Resource's 91 Z convertible. Are these the Z06 wheels?

ok, maybe you guys misunderstood me, I meant that I will get spacers, I realize that, I just don't want to do fender well modifications. Thanks.

camaroguy99,
with the 295's on the back, they should fit WAY better than the 315's
there are tons of us 4th Gen guys running them
i believe they have the same backspacing as the 11" wide ZR1's(not really positive)
so if they do, the ZR1 spacers should work for your rear
if ya need ta find out the correct backspacing on them, i would recommend asking the guys in the Appearance forum at:

I had to have my mac do a slight wheel well mod because the tires were scraping when I initially put them on. You will probably need some lowering springs as well .
