Wow that looks good. I really like the way it stands. By any chance do you remember what size tires were on there?

I think that this trend should stay back in the 70's where it belongs, although they do look good on 2ndgens.

I don't like the "higher aspect ratio" way of going, I think it looks way better if you run low profiles and 2 different sizes, personally I'm going to be running 275/40/17's and 295/35/18's.

Just remember if you are running high end tires that are directional, you can't rotate them at all, so when the backs are starting to go you just have to get new ones. This will get pretty expensive especialy if you're an agressive driver.

Nope, its not you.
All the high school kids went through this back in the 60's & 70's and now it seems they are doing it again. You do realize that GM put a lot of engineering into the suspensions of these cars and by using different sizes of tires front and back; you are negating any benefits of the suspension? Not to mention that when taken too far the handling characteristics of the car can become very unpredictable and possibly very dangerous.

Looks much better, but I'd drop that vert quicktime, need those wheels to fill the wells better. IMHO, Z28 rims look better than those on verts but to each his own.

To each his own. I personally like the older style look. I'm not going to add another pic to this thread though. I have 275 15 60's in the rear and 215 15 70 up front. I like the way it sits and I've never had a rubbing problem. Sure it don't handle the corners like it did when it was new, but dangerous, not even close. I built mine to handle quarter miles not autocross.

Nope thats not my car and yes it is real, no chop there. Its one of my friends and If I'm correct he put 295s on the rear. Every time he its a bump the body tears into those tires. Your right I like the way my car looks and rides. I dont think I would go that far. The the persons who owns that car is sorry that he put those big sobs on there. My car is in the sig for those how havent seen it.

The best of both worlds...
from a teen of the 70's. 215/65 in front and 235/60 in rear both sitting on 15's in crome. Slightly RAKED!

All the more reason to leave a car level as GM intended.

I did not raise the rear of my car, the tires did. I know thats obvious but lowering this car is really not an option for me. It scraped the wheel wells as it was , and still does on launch. A better suspension perhaps, but not lowering. The front could use a small drop, but I also enjoy being able to get over speed bumps.
