Hey guys, I just painted my gfx all black. So my car is all black right now. Post me some pictures of some of your stock 15" Camaro rims please. I want to see what would be a good idea, I was thinking mabye white rims. The whole car is black right now. The rims are gold.. So I was thinking white at the moment.

I'm thinking go buy yourself a buynsell newspaper and buy some iroc rims, i hated those z28 rims, they are butt ugly. good idea painting your car all black, never was a fan of the gold bottom.

Get some iroc rims, put a high-rise spoiler on your car, get some IROC-Z decals, or instead of the decals just get the 91-92 front skirt. Then your car will be worthy to my liking

If you are going to paint your current rims, I recommend a silver/gray color

 

after i polished mine, i realized how long it would take to polish them all, so i painted them black and pollished the lines...

My Z used to have painted Black 15" rims, before I upgraded to 17" chromes....

Did you get those goodyear eagles with or without the white lettering ? I've got em but they didn't come with white lettering, did you paint em your self ? if so tell me how and with what type of paint , would white engine paint work ?

 

Those Goodyears were old enough that they had the white lettering filled in, that is a fairly old picture if when I first got my car here it is currently...

FireHawk SS10's, and BFG COMP TA's Have "filled in" white lettering HOWEVER theyu weren't the stock tires that come on the car

 

I like the polished look myself. I did mine a while back but still havent had the time to take all of the rims off to paint them black. Oh yeah this is my desktop pic at the moment.

 

davecamaro, Im intrested on what your doing with your car. I've got the same gold gfx and gold rims and have been thinking about getting rid of all the gold. How did your gfx turn out? I also want to paint mine black sometime. I want to get 91-92 z28 high rise spoiler and take of the SC spoiler just not sure if it would cover the holes. Got any pics of the car all black? Keep us up to date with whats happing

 

tell you what, I alway liked the optional wheels used in 80 and 81 on z 28s. these rims were used through the 80s on monte carlos also, I would try to find some.

kidcamarosc: Thanks for being intrested.. Well I painted my gfx yesterday, 1 can of primer, 220 sandpaper (4sheets), 2 cans of Black paint, and special car tape and newspapers... I didnt even take my gfx off, The Turn out was excellent!!!
Ill post pictures, Mabye tonight ill get some, stay on.
