The only thing I would do to try and save them for a little while, just spray em all black. But looks like anything else will be a pain in the butt.

They ARE aluminum so they will polish up. It is going to take some real effort and a dremel of some sort but it can be done.

I would say that it would be way too much work to get those rims looking nice, because I have polished rims like that before and it is a ton of work! what I would do is check on ebay and you will usually be able to find some really nice ones with tires for around $100.

you can go to home depot and for like 12 bucks they have a polishing kit you use in your drill, get some aresol (spelling) and remove the clear coat, the polish the wheels out with teh kit, yeah its alot of work, but boy it looks good

Looks like bad clearcoat,a spray can or 2 of aircraft paint remover would take off that old clearcoat. Then just polish the top part and repaint the inner thingies.

I know a shop can restore them new . The goal is to do it yourself. Dont use a dremmel unless you want to learn the hard way. What I would do is use some paint stripper on them to get all that damaged clear coat off. Then after blasting off the stripper with a high pressure hose. See if you can polish them up. search this forum on "polish". They cant be that bad I mean its metal all the way through right? So why cant you polish it down to the Good metal under all that clear coat and what ever else that is.

>hack at it!
