Hello All. I'm getting ready to paint my car because of a nasty paint flaking problem. The car is teal now and I was going to paint it the same color so that the inside of the door jams and the engine compartment would not have to be repainted. Now I'm sort of playing with the idea of painting the car black with a teal heritage stripe. How do you think that it would look? Anyway one of you paintshop guru's could show me?

what shade of teal would you go with??Black is already such a dark color.The stripes almost always look good on anything so more power to you!!! Have you thought about doing a ghost stripe set?? You know the ones that you can barely see till your up on it.Those look sweet!! Do what you want and then post picks

Thanks for the replay Nikki. The teal would be the stock color that was on the car. I don't want to have to paint the engine bay or the insides of the doors but I also don't want the car to look funny or be mismatched when the hood or doors are open.

 

Here's one I did for someone else (sorry it's a 4th gen) who was trying to decide between dark teal and black stripes. Gives you a good side by side comparison

 

Thanks for the reply Iroc87. Any way I could talk you into changing the car to black and the stripes to the teal? I don't think my teal is quite that dark but it would really help me make my decision.

here's a real quick job cuz I dont know what color teal you have.
If you found a pic of a car w/ your color I could do a better job... I think it's a cool idea though.

 

i kinda like that paint scheme dude. except make the stripes go all the way down up front and back i think it will look cleaner that way
