Just curious about what people think about putting stickers (i.e Eidelbock, Eibach) on their cars and where they put them. Or is it just a ***** thing?

on the plastic aboce the radiator or the rear hatch.

In the trash.
Reasons:
1. An engine bay full of stickers looks stupid.
2. Stickers on the outside look stupid, and say, "if you break into this car, you will find the following high priced parts: blah blah blah"

Yeah somebody that does that doesn't fall into "rice" it falls under stupid......You see them running around with KENWOOD on the windshield.....you mught as well invite a jacker into your car....Stickers on the outside look stupid, and say, "if you break into this car, you will find the following high priced parts: blah blah blah"
No need to advertise how fast your car is.......plus they ruin your paintjob......

On your forehead!
Yeah drive around like that.
Under the hood or on your tool box. Mine are under the hood. No where on the outside of the car though. Never! The pontiac banner is cool though. It works well with the blue factory tint. It kinda fades from dark blue to white and does not stand out to much.

I have a 3-ring binder that I keep ALL my receipts in and I've decorated it with my Summit, Jegs, Edelbrock, Accel, BBK, CenterForce, etc. stickers.
I just can't put stickers on my car . . .

i put them on the back hatch......yes i know "rice" but i actually have these products in my car. and also if i decide to race or anything at the strip the hatch isnt a bad spot becuz u wont mess up ur paint that way. like u see some teams puttin the contingoncy stickers on the paint.
Member
I put them wherever they fall when I take the stuff outa the box.Unless you are bracket racing etc and can get contingency money for using their parts, stickers all over a car looks lame.

I agree completely that it looks dumb putting them anywhere on the outside of the car and if they are put under the hood it needs to be done tastefully.
At a car show I seen a couple of people that had like a 2' x 3' piece of polished aluminum plate, it had all of thier product stickers on it and in the middle was detailed info on the car. One of the guys told me that this can help alot when it comes to the judges at shows, I guess they like it.

I hate logo stickers all over the engine bay, makes it look cluttered and stupid.
Mine go on my tool box, cabinets, pets, etc..

Cool..lots of replies. I agree to not putting them on the exterior. I've never understood especially why people advertise their stereo systems though. I guess parts I could understand: whose going to sneak up in the middle of the night and rip your coils out in dead silence?

I used to have a "pleather/vinyl" privacy shade in the back of my RS (the one that covers the the well in the back where subs commonly go... the roll up shade) that I was going to put my decals on on that.

I stick mine to the walls of my workshop! Never on my car, except of course for the K&N sticker.

they all go in a binder clip on the shelf

Its not that the judges really care that much. It does save some time considering the amount of cars they see. Anything to help bring attention to what you have added that may not be so obvious helps. The judges at shows go around very fast and it helps to have a board out with your mods. It especially helps if you happen not to be with the car when the judges pass.
I plan on putting my stickers on a display board to go with my mod list. I hate product stickers on cars, engine bay or not. Its too cluttered and its like you are bragging. It also makes you a target for theft, as was mentioned above.

I like to stick them all over my winter car. Last year's car was a Mitsubishi Cordia. Nothing cooler than a rusted out $h1t box covered in performance decals.

I only run one sticker on my ride. My crew sticker. No parts stickers or company stickers.
I put mine on my radiator support cover, but when I got my new fan shroud I accidently threw the old one out with the stickers. Guess I need to buy more parts.

On my toolbox
The only sticker(s) lucky enough to grace my interior or exterior are FBS logos and a college parking permit (the latter is a must

Heres what you do with the stickers on your toolbox:
One sticker for each drawer. Then that way when you ask a buddy to hand you a wrench you say "get me a 1/2" outta the Edelbrock drawer" or "get me a screwdriver outta the Holley drawer". This eliminates confusion as to "3rd down on the right", etc..

I wish I had a buddy to hand me tools. All my friends wanna "help" and all they do is just break $h1t, or make more work for me, so I do it all myself.

Yeah..no ****. Either that or they complain about being out of beer. It funny...whenever you wre working on something though, there is usually one time, and one time only, when you have to have someone there to assist.

I throw stickers on the windows of the garage door. I'm not into stickers anywhere on the car, inside or out, and from what I've bought so far I've gotten multiple stickers with one purchase. So one goes on the window, another in the toolbox, another in a binder, etc.

I want my car clean not cluttered. No performance stickers or bumper stickers. The ricers look stupid pretending they are at Indy or Daytona. I prefer someone ask me what I have then advertise for some company that is not paying me to advertise for them. Pay me and I'll put them everywhere.
I think placing stickers on your car is alright as long as you don't have a lot. I have ONE hose techniques sticker in the upper right corner of my windshield, and that is only becauase I like the company so much. I also have a parking sticker on my rear bumper because it is mandatory if I want to park anywhere on the SIUC campus. One thing I hate the most is when people put stickers of products they obviously don't have on their car. As far as the engine bay goes, most companies stamp or place their name on thier products so stickers in the engine bay kind of ruin the appearance, especially a freshly redone engine bay.

I have a sticker on my driver's side window, just above the door handle, and it says:
VIPER SECURITY SYSTEM
, at least one of them had to be functional

Jim 86 Bird: I dunno if they let you do this, but at my skool with the parking sticker/permit thing, some people stick them on an old CD case or something, then you can sit it on your dash when you're there, and take it off when you don't need it...

I have one sticker on the rear hatch it is a chevy thunder sticker.

I like to throw them on my daily driver also. Right now I've got an AFR head and Coan torque converter sticker on my 1989 Honda accord.

I agree. However, in all fairness to some of the import guys that show, a surprising number of them DO have sponsorships, and are required to run the stickers. I never would have thought that many free parts were handed out, but its not unusual for a whole club to have the same brand of neon, or exhaust tip, or whatever, because they negotiated a deal with the manufacturer.Still, though, I would only put them on the rear hatch glass, and not on paint.

i have 4 performance stickers on the out side of my bird. i put them on the top back side of the door windows. i have a b&m and an accel on the driver side and a k&n and an accel on the pass. i dont think it looks to trashy. i like it.

is thirdgen not a car club in some sense? i mean we help eachother constantly, compliment and sometimes hate on other peoples cars. thats a car club if i ever heard one. We sould try to get free parts! then they would have to send extra stickers for my car, all of my stickers go on the toolbox.not a bad idea eh?I never would have thought that many free parts were handed out, but its not unusual for a whole club to have the same brand of neon, or exhaust tip, or whatever, because they negotiated a deal with the manufacturer.Still, though, I would only put them on the rear hatch glass, and not on paint.

did i tell you i suck at spelling? as a kid i was only in to cars and school was always the last thing on my mind "come on now there still funny to read"

I don't think V6camaroman's sig is long enough LOL. I would have a long sig too If I had put that much work into my engine. I like to be very modest and secretive about what I have under hood. A few stickers isn't going to hurt anyone, but if you had 100 parts put on your car, there is no need to put a 100 stickers on as well. Just my 2 cents.

why bother wasting all that money trying to get that little 2.8 to put out some ponies? why not just stick a 350 in there and be done with it? Just my opinion but maybe you got a good reason

Under the hood on the radiator support, in a sensibly organised fashion. I've always hated them on the exterior of the car.

I put them on the inside part of the cover of my tool box.

I could keep all of my tools in a crummy cardboard box and be satisfied with that. Main reason I got a toolbox was so I had a place to put all of my stickers (cuz they sure wernt going on my car)
