yeah this one dude told me that green race motors are bad luck, but so far im proving him wrong cause it still pullin hard, and from a dead stop i can floor it with my P275/60R15 rear tires and it smokes em, even after like a 20second burnout that chews a hole in the road lmao

Didn't your mom ever tell you that taking undressed ladies over a smallblock is un-gentlemanly? :sillylol:

Seriously though, nice motor. Green is a bit too eye-watering for my (rather boring) tastes, but I'd take that green over the brown-and-black-sludge look of my motor any day. Which, by the way, is coming along well. I have both heads off, and they're being machine shopped to the max as I type this. Hooray!!

One time I was helping my friend get his 79 camaro started up for the first time with his newly installed built-up 355ci and I noticed the block was painted bright yellow. I said something like "whats a matter with you!? yellow? Why not orange or black? I dont think the motor likes you painting it yellow." Engine fires right up and we do the break-in, time it, and get all the leaks fixed. Everything was running PERFECT. After about an hour of run-time he takes it down the road, gets 10 miles, and BAMM!B!B!MABAM! rod bolt lets loose and ruins the entire motor.

WHY? BECAUSE IT WAS PAINTED YELLOW! I SWEAR.

What’s sad, is I never took the green off. So it's primed with green, with about 3 coats of yellow on top.

Soooo maybe the green is keeping the rod bolts from flying off

I don't know about 'nagga' but my car is black on gray.
With the gray coming through.

This car is financially kicking my ***...Racecars are not cheap to build, but are fun to drive
