White vs Purple

Right guys, here's my dilemma. Sometime soon I want to respray my car, and I have narrowed my choice of colour down to 2. White, or purple. Could you guys please post pictures of your white cars, and your purple cars? Obviously there are many shades of purple, and I'm more interested in the indigo/violet types rather than the maroon/red types.

If the car ends up white, I'll go for an all black interior. If it's purple, it'll be a tan interior.

And one last point I should make. Check my location (and the way I spell "colour"). The Camaro is a comparitively rare car here. There are a few white ones and a few purple, so originality really isn't an issue. Put it this way, in the past year I've only seen one Camaro. And it's mine!

The car is already purple, here's a pic of it. Thanks in advance guys!

Stay purple, but I would still change the int. color. Everybody has a white car, and your jams are already purple.

I should've mentioned that the interior is red, and has been attacked (badly) with black dye...so the interior will be changed/replaced whatever happens.

My jams? Sorry, I'm not sure what that means.

In this country, I can go months without seeing another thirdgen....another American car for that matter. The popularity of a certain colour isn't valid here. I do like to think that mine is the only purple Camaro in the country....haven't been proven wrong yet!

I'd stay purple...white has always been boring to me (too common a color on any car, at least in the US).

By "Jams".......He means the area where the door closes.......see this area and the engine bay and MANY other areas of the car are painted Purple.....

If you were to paint it white then you would need to take everything off and paint it or else certain parts of the car would still be purple.............Where as if you would just paint it back to purple you wouldn't need to do this........

Purple/Tan sounds interesting........sounds like a good combo.....although i have never seen it before......

Put it this way, in the past year I've only seen one Camaro. And it's mine!

stay purple. white cars are nice when they're clean, but you see every single spot on white paint

Right, now I see. Well, the car was originally silver. Some of the bits you mentioned are now purple, like the jams, but the engine bay is silver. I'm not too bothered about the engine bay because I hardly ever open the hood, and the silver shows the engine up a bit better than a darker colour.

I have seen purple/tan on a few cars, all British/European. Looks really nice IMO. I'll be sure to post pictures once I have some.

Keep the responses coming...this is great! Thanks for the pic DLSDUDE, hope there's some more to come.

Si

I love white, I like brighter colors cause they define the car better and make the car look cleaner. I personally would stay Purple cause it would be cheaper and easier too paint. But if you got the money paint it White with Purple trim or something

I say purple unless you do a good job painting it white (ie. paint doorjambs) I wouldn't paint the engine bay white though, go with black or leave it silver if ya want to.

If you do a thorough job with white, I think Arctic White would look sweet.
