Pics of my new 17" Snypers

I just got my wheels and tires on Friday. It took me 4 1/2 months to get them, you wouldn’t believe what I had to go through! I actually really wanted the Cragars, but Im very happy the way things turned out.

I got 4 of the 17x9 with 5” bolt pattern, and had inserts made for 4.75”. For tires I went with the HTRZII 245/45/17 for the front and 275/40/17 for the back.

I think they look awesome. The car sits up kinda high, but I don’t really want to lower it because of the pipes and the front spoiler. This fall I want to redo the coil springs and struts/shocks. I wish there was some kind of adjustable height system? The OEM breaks suck. Next summer I want to redo them, I was looking in to this Baer company?

I resized the pics down a little bit. I know that on the internet the Snypers are as common as *******s, but I never once seen another set in person or even talked to someone that heard of them!

Heres a pic a few months ago before I got the new paint and wheels.

Heres the tires

The wheels and center caps just out of the box. I didnt realize they went on from the inside, and I didnt get them on. I didnt care though, I waited the whole summer since April just to get ANY wheels.

The Snypers and stockers, side by side. I actually got these 15x7z wheels in Florida while on vacation 4 years ago. I had the standard coupe wheels on when I got the car, I paid $600 to a professional who just had them restored and took them back with me to pa in the car. I didnt take too good of care of them though.

yes...yes

Heres the next day, at the Phillies stadium, there was no game so I just pulled in and snapped a pic

Up on Skyline Drive

A mile down the road

At Blue Marsh Lake

A close up of the wheel without the center cap. It looks sweet, but I need to redo the breaks. Hopefully next spring/summer.

I know theres alot of people out there looking for Snypers, if anyone has questions feel free to email me! jmo383@aol.com

Your car looks good,as stated above it would look better a bit lower. As for the brakes upgrade do the Baer's they look great behind the Snypers.

They look good. I too was planning on getting Snypers, but the design shows a little too much brake for. I noticed that the center hub on the Snypers are smaller than the stock wheel. Did that present a problem when mounting the front wheels?

I got the wheels from Skulte. Im not really happy with the service I got. They said it would ship next day but it ended up taking about a month till I got them. They were nice about it though, so I cant say anything really bad about them, but I cant say anything really good either. I paid $229 a wheel plus $30 for shipping. The tires were $115/$130 from Tirerack. Everything total was about $1,500.

I have a little 383 under the hood. I built it a few year ago for my high school project and used the car for a daily driver. Last year I got a second car and now the camaro usually sits in the garage most of the time. Im trying to keep it nice, which is why I got the paint job and new wheels.

The only problem getting the wheels on were the lug nuts. I thought special ones where coming with, but I didn’t get any. I did a search on the message board and everyone said they used stock. I don’t know if it was just my wheels or what, but everything has to be put in just perfectly or they wont fit. I couldn’t use a lug wrench as it wouldn’t fit in.
