How wide are the 18's you are getting? Are they 8 in wide, those will look kinda silly on an 18 in wheel. Just my opinion! I think the 18s are little wider though, not sure. post pics when you get them!

Hi Guys,
Yes, I have to admit that the 18x8 aren't as wide as I would like them to be. I think the 18x9 or 18x9.5 would look perfect. For now, this doesn't look to bad.
I'm also not too partial about the chrome rims since they take away from the over all look and design of the rim.
Yeah, those 18's look too big for that yellow IROC-Z. The car is lowered, but for some reason......it looks out of place?
In any case, let me know if u need help fitting these in your fender wells. I have been through hell and back to make them fit perfectly.

I wouldn't know personally what would be best, but if i were you and i did not get a good answer from these guys, just call up tirerack.com and see what they recommend. good luck
while searching through theads to find rim sizes i noticed this one....anyone know what tires are on that yellow iroc. the car looks lifted because of it. not good.:nono:
anyone know how to get ahold of mr. iroc-z?
i've tried emailing him and he doesn't accept pm's.

I got mine and just wanted to post a pic for anyone whoever was looking for the
2 out of the 3 cars look good. The chrome looks a little too bling bling to me. The polished 18's look fuggin sweet man! I wish they made them in 17x9 and 17x10 or 11 like the ZR1's. The yellow one looks so high off the ground. The red car and the black one look nice and low. Very nice, but I agree with some people, 17 is a good size rim for these cars.

I think a five inch spoiler would really set that car off nice. The stance does seem a little odd though. Maybe if it had an airdam up front it would look a little lower. Most of us thirdgen enthusiast know it should be there and our eyes pick up on it. To us the small things can make a BIG difference.
just a thought,

I would like to state on behalf of all NC members that we don't know who reilly8282 is, and we doubt he's really from NC. We certainly don't think gold Irocs look good.

I think that the entire car should flow together, the rims shouldnt catch your eye, the hood should catch your eye, but the car as a whole should catch your eye. If one thing stands out over the rest of the car it doesnt look good IMO i just dont like the rim and hood selection on the car.

can I see a pic of your car? I've always thought polished aluminum looks better than chrome. Chrome is heavy, hard to take care of, and too shiny for my tastes. Polished aluminum is lighter, easier to take care of (wont flake or peel), and shiny enough to look good, but not so much as to overdo it. Just my opinion, but chrome = bling and aluminum = racecar. But hey everyone has their own opinion. Do what YOU like the best.
