Poll: To black out or too not black out
Okay the car is in the paint shop. Right now they are preping the car for paint. Origionally the car had the blacked out headlight wells. I was thinking of having them not black them out and just painting in there body color. what do you guys think... I like the body color my dad likes them blacked out....

i think it depend on the colour of the car...
they should only be blacked out if you have a yellow/white/or red car..
imho they look the best

How can you have black headlight wells on a Firebird with pop-up headlights?

I think Camaros look best when the grill & headlight pockets match. Whatever color one is, the other should be the same. Just my opinion.

Thanks for your opinions guys... My car has the blackouts now and I like them. I just wanted to try something different. But this would be for life or well as long as the paint lasts for, and hopefully thats life. I think I am going to go with the blackouts. Ill post some pics in about 3 weeks when I get the car back...

Unless your painting the grill then black out the headlight pockets. Camaro's lose some some of the aggressive look when they arent.

How hard would it be to have them 1st shoot it with them body color. Since you have had them black. Then you could always have them painted black, after the fact, if you decided you liked the look better.

Dont think just know. Majority rules your getting the black outs if you like it or not. If you dont I'll sneak up to your car in the middle of the night and spray them black for you. LOL
Just
ing I'm not traveling across a few states to do that. A few weeks you say? Tell them to hurry up so we can see some pix.

Okay they are def. gonna be black. I am dropping the car off saturday morning... They said give them 2-3 weeks so you are all going to have to wait =[ dahh the suspence is killing me...
I agree with 91-Z28. I also had the pockets blacked out originally(Red 87 IROC). I had it repainted without the black headlight pockets and indeed the car did look much better. I agree though that the car does look a little less aggressive. But instead, I had hood stripes put on. I do think now that blacked out headlight pockets seem a little dated ( like the Iroc striping around the car). If it wasn't, we would see more cars inspired stylistically by the idea. I guess I just like a more cleaner look.

It was just an idea. I was thinking that if you had ground effects that were a different color than the body, then you could paint the headlight pockets the same color too. The color choice would be a huge factor in determining if it looks good or not.

Paint it body color and see if you like it. Its not hard to do yourself if you decide to black the pockets out.
here is mine. They are body color and my grill is not black either.

Where do you get off making people feel stupid. Now I feel stupid cause I'm typing this reply. What you have just said, is the most insanely idiotic thing I have ever heard. At no point, in your rambling incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points and may *** have mercy on your soul.
