I usually don't like that paint much, but I think it looks really good on your car. I don't think it would go as good with the older birds because they are more boxey.

I like the paint, as everyone else said, it is expensive, so I probably couldn't do it. Us hillbillies down here in Alabama can only afford primer (well at least me). Anyway, I like your car, keep up the good work!

I just looked at that again and got an idea after flyinlow said about some rims. Everyone is into painting the inside spokes of the rims body color, so why not polish up those rims and do that? Anyone else think that would look sweet?

So how much did you pay for that paint? I like it, but it is very expensive. A regular paint job is too much for me right now.
I think it would be cool if they could mix the paints so you could choose which colors it changed into.

I'm sorry to say, but I hate that paint.
The car looks very clean & straight, but I just don't likle that chrome illusion paint at all !!!
I'm old school, one color suits me fine!!

THAT LOOKS SWWEEEETTTTT!!!!!!!!!! I love your paint job, I wish I had enough to paint my car like that. Well actually, I wish I had enough to paint my car period. If you don't mind me askin, how much did that cost ya????
The paint is nice, but too loud for my personal taste.
I agree that rims/tires would improve the look 100%. The paint screams, while the stock rims try to hide in the corner... you need rims that scream out loud as does the paint. I would say a set of 2000 Camaro SS 10 spoke wheels in chrome would look awesome on there and they're affordable too.
Nice car!

I've seen a 4th Gen Camaro around here with that paint. Honestly, looks like a girls car, cause of the paint job. That or looks like when oil hits the ground and there is water around.

I think it would be cool if they could mix the paints so you could choose which colors it changed into. Sorry to go on a tangent there. Your bird looks great. I think the paint looks better on your bird's body styling versus the earlier 3rd gens. (more curves) Curves suit that paint better than angles.
What rims are you considering? I think chrome rims would really set off the car!

The car looks great.
Ain't nothin' wrong with those rims.
Try polishing them up real good before you buy new ones (even if you plan on buying new ones, just in the meantime)

I like the rims. They are the same as mine. That kinda paint is cool. I probably wouldnt paint my car like that unless they were able to take the purple out. Other wise It looks good. Has anybody seen that kinda paint with out the purple and pink? The closest I have heard of is dark blue and green.

Burgandy to gold. And there is the teal, blue, green flop. There are quite a few others as well w/o purple. Dupont may have something on their website.

Hey guys, thanks for the opinions, good or bad, they're all appreciated. Nobody got just absolutely mean so that's cool. As far as the price of the paint, it ranges from $280-$190 a pint. My husband got it for $220(I could have got it for $190
). We used 4 pints and Dupont Premier Clear. I'm unsure of what kind of rims, any suggestions.
<*Husband Typing Now*> I think some Rozzi Detentions or Elite Barbs in 18"s would look sweet on the car. Back to tha price, it cost $3,000 in all for the body work(as little of it as there was), supplies and labor. Oh, and thanks for bein' cool to her, she was nervous that everyone was gonna be mean about it.

Cool, here is the site with all the diffrent chromalusion paint.
http://www.dupontautomotivepaint.com...N=&PRODUCT_ID=
You would think for a paint web site they would show pix of the paint. They say they want $658.40 a quart! LOL dont spill that on the ground! Opps! there goes my rent. I'll see if I can find the paint previews.

Very nice! What (if anything) have you done to the engine color wise? I just ask because it'd be cool to somehow "accessorise" the rims with the engine to tie the whole car together.
Very nice though regardless,
Steve

Sweeeeeeet! I absolutely love it. I would have to agree that it looks better on the newer rides than the earlier boxy styled birds.
Love it. Great looking car.

Hated if at first but with every pic it grows on me a little.
I know it's not politically correct, but to me it does make a difference if a woman's driving it.
At any rate nice paintjob, hope to see some rims on that sucker soon

Barbs are going on my Scout II. Hopefully I will eventually be able to afford them. I'm going for 20's on it. I have to put a V-8 in the bird first though!I'm not familiar with the Rozzi Detentions. Do you have a link handy? If not I will search them out.

There is nothing to be mean about with a paint job. I always appreciate a new paint job. If it was some kind of unorthadox spoiler or wheels you wanted opinions on, then most of us would go in attack mode, not because we don't like the mod, but because we don't want to ruin a beautiful looking car.
i was at some fast food place in AZ and i saw a 5th gen firebird painted that color but the colors changed from blue to green. but the cool thing is i saw it about a year, year and a half before it came out i guess some guy that was test driving it out at the proving groungs got hungry anyhow i was happy to be one of the first to see it before everyone else.

Great color, I think along with rims, different tail lights would go nice as well. Just don't follow behind somebody to close, hate to see a great job get chiped!! I have a some pearl in my other cars paint, I used super glaze I think it was on it. Once again nice work.
wasnt watching where i was going and took a dip in the road a little to hard and messed up the right side front bumper and i thought the husband was gonna come unglued. said he was gonna jack it up if i didnt pay better attention . (that little accident cost us around $300) so i try to be more careful now. it is kinda scary though leaving it un attended in a parking lot because you never know what kind of idiot is gonna walk by and key it just to be funny, but thats life i guess. again thanks for all the opinions and i will keep you all posted with new things added. we just purchased photo shop so we can play with some rims now.
