Red Neons

I've looked so much im almost ready to give up. But does anyone know if the color red on en exterior light is illegal such as an underbody neon kit. I know for a fact that blue is, but red I'm not sure of. I live in Florida so laws here may be different then somewhere else, but i thought id ask.. thanks in advance if anyone can help me out.

around here the "law" is that any light that isn't factory color or factory installed can be illegal. it doesn't have anything to do w/ color.

doesn't mean it's not illegal. it's bad to drive on the road with the lights on because 1.) it distracts drivers, and 2.) it can take concentration off the road.
-- that's why it's "illegal"
Having neons on your car period isn't illegal, they're not "street legal", it's drivnig on the road with em. keep it in P when they're on.. keep em off the street. neons were designed for show cars...meets.. things of that nature. it's like open headers... someone's gonna have something to say about it. it bothers someone. and today? everyone's feelings are involved, it's just unfortunate that the people in charge are richie, selfish pigs.

ya even having your interior light on is a nono acording to law. you see cars all the time w/ em on though. one out of 50+ times they'll let ya go. but there is always the times when they don't and taht sucks :-)

The police can't ticket everyone for having neons. The guys that have them on while driving on the street just have not been caught. If you are traveling with a club that all had neons, the police might look the other way since it is a one time occurance. That's the way it works in Champaign.

here is canada i know that the only way undercar lights are illegal is if the police can see the bulbs themselves....so just tuck them under your skirts and your fine...

wrong button,

but make sure you have them to a switch, cuz if you dont and they wanna give you trouble(cops) well...put them on a switch..its soooo much easier..

i drive with mine on all the time...whenever i see an officer...i just flick the switch...when hes outta eyesight...switch them back on...

easy..

Just do what Iroc2nv does. If I put neons on my car, that is what I would do too. The switch is very important to evading the police.
