Well it got repainted, and pretty much every dent we could find fixed. You can't tell in the first pic, but the drivers fender is f'ked up pretty bad(the guy who had it last, his dad backed into it with a riding lawnmower). Got 2 new front fenders(found that the passenger one was bent pretty bad on the bottom), new front bumper cover, and a used rear one that is pretty good. The door moldings and antenna are shaved, 15% smoke(black) tint, and yes, polished 85-87 style IROC-Z wheels wrapped in 245/50-ZR16 Eagle GSC's. I have tail light blackouts that I haven't put on yet, and I'm hoping to get some clear turn signals. I think they'd look good on her since it's so dark. These pics suck, I hope to get some better ones when I put all the GFX on(just needs the front) which I'll put on after I do my exhaust, which I'm hoping to have welded up monday or tuesday. SLP Ypipe and the 200$ Hooker 3 inch catback. Hrm.... what else... if you wanna count it, I got those sylvania "Cool Blue" headlights. Seem a little whiter and brighter. Lotsa miscellaneous stuff.
It's not a *PERFECT* paintjob, but it's WAY better than before, and GREAT for a daily driver. It's exactly what I wanted, and way better than I expected.
In case you're interested, Specs:
1987 Z28
305(5.0L) Tuned Port Injection
700R4 Transmission
2.73 Posi-Traction
Spohn SFC's
GM Steering Brace("Wonder Bar")
SLP Y-pipe and Hooker catback for full 3inch exhaust
Not bad for a 16 year old high school kid.... think I'll get any chicks?
Bahh, it's almost 1AM and I'm bored... I'm going to stop ranting now....

Well I have to wait 60 days before wax. My dad and one of my friends thinks I should wait even longer, like 6 months- 1 year before I wax or polish it.... I'm not sure, I'm still debating.

Wait 90 days before waxing. It looks like you have some overspray on the headlights. Nice job on the paint.
Hg what type of paint did you use 2pak?
coz if you did I'd polish after a week no worries. most other paints just need to breath & shrink for a month, so get her out into some sun that will help, but not too hot.

Why not just put laquer thinner on a rag an wipe them. Just don't get it on the paint, oh and be careful when adding brake fluid-
And don't wash your car with dishsoap-not for sure but I heard it harms paint!
Car looks good, I like the same color ground effects and the polished rims!

FLYNLOW92rs That's a nice parking job you did there, how exactly do you know when to stop when you are pulling into your garage......
Anyways nice car and good paint job..........

Thinners work well but I'd hate to get even a smear on new paint!
dishsoap mainly just removes your wax etc

In the after pic there aren't headlights on it, that's overspray in the place where the lights go so it doesn't really matter since the lights will cover it. They used sherwin williams, I can't remember if it was 1 or 2 stage though....
And getting all this stuff, I worked allllll summer.... kinda burnt out now. Shoulda got a new rear bumper while I was at it instead of a new/used bumper.... ahh well, it's still good.
