It was waaaaay.... cool......
Hey this might not have much to do with the appearance of a F-body but its floating around every forum known to microsoft. This dude who is a engine tech for ford test drove a 2003 mustang. He Raged on it upto 140MPH and posted it on this mustang forum. Someone here at my work told me about this. The rumor is that the person who owned the car read the forum and found out. THe tech got fired from his job after the customer found out. I'm still reading to see if this is true. There are about 10 pages there. Check it out. What would you do if you found out someone took your car up to 140? he said it was waaay cool.

>shat even the people at the Jeep board in Australia know about this. Rag on a customers car, put it on the internet and everyone knows about it around the world. He will probably never get a job working with cars ever again!

Sorry about the 'by the book' attitude. Just had the hurricane thing over here so I'm a bit edgy you could say. When I saw the post I just thought "this has nothing to do with thirdgens and is a complete waste of server space". Even if that's true, I agree these post are good every once and a while. So, maybe I was a bit hasty in commenting.

I've read that whole article about the guy at the Ford SVT dealership. Being a Technician myself, I can't understand why there are those people out there that have no respect for others property. People like that gives dealer Technicians a bad image. I know there are more like that out there. Luckily at my shop there aren't any hot doggers like that. I have found myself behind the wheel of Z06 Vettes as well as regular LS1 vettes. I have driven '02 35th anniversary SS Camaros as well as many Z28s and regular SS. Its a thrill to drive these cars but I resepct it and others property and not mine to abuse. I have refused to test drive with this Doctor who claimed that he felt a vibration in his LS1 Vette at 90 MPH with him driving, I let my manager take care of riding with him on that one. I know I'm responsible for those vehicles and I have to pay for any damages that occur while the vehicle is under my care. The deductible for our dealer insurance is $1500.00 if some thing happens during a test drive. I have actually paid for a windshield that was cracked on a test drive when I was behind a gravel truck on the interstate. We called the customer and informed him of what happened and I volunteered to pay for the windshield. The customer agreed and I paid for it. Not all dealerships are bad I know that they don't have much favor with the people on this board. My best advice to anyone bringing a car to a dealer for service needs to develop a relationship with a particular tech whom you trust and keep requesting that technician. I have a list a armlength long of customers who come in and request me. I take the time and effort to pop a hood with a customer and show them what went wrong and what I did to fix it. Sorry for the rant its people like this SVT guy who give people like me who work hard for a honest reputation a bad name.
