Help me choose the color of my LT1 intake!

OK, I'm about 90% done with converting my LT1 intake to fit on my L98 with Trick Flow 23* heads. I need to choose a color for the intake.

The car is red. A red intake would look cool, but automatically will prompt the question "is that an LT4 engine" from onlookers. How many times will I have to answer that question with a "no".

I'm not ruling out red, just trying to think outside the box.

So what do you think?

I say red...a lot of people won't even know what an LT4 is, they will only know you have a shiny red intake

I don't know what a intake is, but I say, that red and black are good matching colors, so I would say, go with the balck!

Yeah, engine bay/firewall, etc are all red.

So far, black is in the lead on the vote count. The stock valve covers have been painted silver (not like the factory gray). The heads are aluminum. The engine is all factory (brown/gray) - not really any paint on it that I can see.

I need to replace some of the wiring looms - those will be black since I've never really liked the colored ones much.

Also, is there any way to clean up the throttle body, or should I just paint it to match the intake?

I can't wait to get this done and finally together!

Even though I originally voted for black - I decided to go along with the majority vote and go red. I guess I will be OK with all the LT4 inquiries. I sprayed it last night. It looks great with the rest of the engine bay being red too! I am SO stoked about being so close to finishing this project!!!! :lala:

Thanks to all who voted!
