Liter is just the metric conversion of cubic inches. One liter is almost equivalent 62.?? cubic inches. So yes a chevy 305 ci. is 5.0 ltrs. And by the way, a Ford 302 is technically a 4.9 ltr.

89transam, listen to what I'm telling you. 1 liter is equal to 61.030 cubic inches. Do the math. Or if you prefer check this website for the conversion.

http://www.planet-stuff.freeserve.co.uk/Standards/Conversion_Tables.htm

Or if you like 1 cubic inch is equal to .01639 litres. Just try the math.
