I know what you mean about getting out of a snow filled area. Freshman year at SIU, I was trapped in the parking lot trying to get out of 6 inches of snow. I actually used up 2 hours and an eighth of a tank of gas just to get out.

My car is a SLED in 1" of snow, let alone 6".
I need new back tires one year.
One of my back tires has NO tread in the middle.
I couldnt get going faster than 30k/h in a 50 zone.!

Glad my camaro is tucked safely away in my garage for the winter. In the mean time, I get to tear around in my '81 Oldsmobile. When you only $150 for a car, you're not really out much if you wreck it.

Winter driving in these SLEDS is fun.
Except when people call the cops on you for having fun lol.
The strory:
I was droping off a friend after school, the streets were completly ice/snow.
I did a U-Turn or a 180 u may want to call it to turn around on his side of the road. When I left I fish tailed around the courner.
Somone with some bad PMS phoned the cops on me and gave them my license plate number!!!! LOL
The cops came to my house and gave me a warning.
Some people have no lives to phone the cops cause somone fish-tailed in the snow/ice, like cmon now.

okay i'm sorry but personally i feel that our cars are summer cars. i've got mine is storage for this winter already and i'm just hoffin it around not only for the fact that i don't want to ditch my car or hurt it in any manner but i also don't want to drive through that blasted road salt that rotts out the underside of your car and rust it out i really don't like the look of that but that's just my opinion

see that's what i'm sayin winter driving causes "cancer"/ rust because of all the road salt and it's always to daymn cold to wash all the salt off after you drive it so i just store mine in the winter it saves me headachs and money because i can take it off of my insurace for about 4 months and get a cheaper payment
