That looks really nice, but i must have fried my brain, because i would have guessed it to be a '69.

How long did it take to do the project?

My friend is going to start his 79 olds cutlass next summer, he keeps telling it wont cost that much...

Yes the 69's look different. I like their look better. Seems to be less bulky, and more streamlined.
Heres a pic of a 69 Maro thats for sale at a dealership near me. Looks like a good place to pick up cars that are in ok shape. All of the cars there need work, but the body's are usually ok.

I think that it took about a year to restore that Camaro. He and his dad do all of the work themselves. Here is a photo of his dads car, it's a 1930 Model A Ford Coupe with a blown Chevy motor:

I made a webpage for him also at:www.cardomain.com/id/babytaz

what made me think it looked like a 69 is I was tired, and the rear spoiler blended in and look like part of the rear fender to make it look flatter. I can tell the diffrence perfectley now that i am awake.

The easyist way for me to tell a '69 from a '67 or '68 is that the '69's wheel wells are flattened at the top where as the first 2 years they were rounded. Check it out.

easiest way is the front grill, side windows, rear quarters and tail lights, theyre all a bit different.

the 69 definately more different than the first 2 years though.

anybody want to buy a 69? same rough shape as that 68 in the beginning. it scared me they look so much alike. Then i saw the maroon one, and again. thats what mine is supposed to look like. LOL. Well, its FOR SALE. I want a porsche 356 spyder now.

http://snflupigus.tripod.com

email me. ide like to get 3 thousand out of it. comes with new, NOT EVEN INSTALLED YET (LOL) floor pans. and some other extra parts. i just want even out of it. offer a bit more and you get a vortec headed 355 too.

nice cars though.

excuse me if this is a bit off topic and please bear with me because this is the first time i'm attempting to post a pic... but this is James Hetfield from Metallica in what i believe is a '68 Camaro. I wish i had the dough that he has... for his birthday his friends rented a track and they raced classic muscle cars all day. what a friggin life

'67 Camaro...easiest way to tell is '68 was the first model year to have side marker lights.

F-bodies rule for life. Get one of every Gen.

If that's a '67, where's the vent window?

69's have that body line that comes off of the wheel well and that side vent deal, i think thats the easiest way to tell them apart. but anyway here is a really nice 69'.

Here's what I'm talkin about... follow the arrows I was under the impression that all '67s had them.

Touche', good point, I guess we will never know for sure. Since there is no side marker lights, and that would make them illegal on the road, I'm staying with my bet with a '67.

That being said, my old eyes thought it could see a vent window, but upon further review it is the post from the rear quarter window. In other words, I blew that one.

I'm sticking with '67, though.

67-had no marker lights, had vent windows, had the rear shocks mounted vertically (horrible wheel hop) and on the non RS models the parking lights were round.

68-had marker lights, no vent window, rear shocks mounted at a slight angle (better on wheel hop), and on the non RS models the parking lights were rectangular with rounded corners.

69-totally different, wheel openings slightly cropped off at the top, body lines on top on fender openings in front continued half way down the door, parking lights mounted below the bumper and were round, tail lights where much larger and a different shape, bumpers on front turned up at the ends and followed the lines of the body, and the famed "gills" in front of the rear tires.

This is just from memory and should help.

:lala: I knew I wasn't crazy! It's probably just like Snuffy says, its most likely a full tube chassis stunt car and has no real year per se. I like that '73 man. If you're ever in SW VA drop in here at Tech. I live off campus and MidnghtZ lives in the dorms. His car isn't here though... he broke his T-5 back in the summer with the 350 he built and now he's thinkin about parting it out Oh well, at least he's gonna get a 4th gen (and help me out with a 383 buildup eventually ).

No, you were definitely not crazy. Thanks for the compliment on my '73. If I ever go near Tech I'll see if we can meet up. Take it easy and good luck at school.
