Someone stole my sterio system In doing this they also broke the center console Any suggestions on what I could use to replace my center console?

 

They broke the center console? How did they do that? What kind of system was stolen from you? That's really too bad.

What exactly did they break?? I have a auto shift plate BUT i highly doubt they broke that.....

Now..........time to try and find who broke into the car and beat some AZZ.......DON'T rely on the cops.........Krispy Kreme came out with a new jelly filled doughnut.........It might take a while for them to find out......they are worthless, i speak from experience....

They broke the face plate and the part of the center console where it holds up the A/C and heater controller.

I swear people have some ballz to steal something from someone's car.

 

don't feel so bad, when mine was hit it was by the installers i took the damn car too. popped the window with ceramic, popped the hood and cut all the alarm wires. used a wireless dremmel and sliced through the dash, cut all the wires nice and neat. they were in and out extremely quick and no one was the wiser.

learned to do things on my own after that.

 

Ah, damn vrooom that sucks. I'm not sure what you mean by the part that holds the climate controls up. Do you have a picture of it? I have a faceplate with three out of the four torx screws if you want it. I hate hearing these stories; some people have no respect. Check out this stuff though, it looks interesting and might help in the fight against stolen stereo systems.

Post a picture of that other piece that's broken, I might have that, too.

 

That sucks, but now you have an excuse to get a 4th gen console.

thats one of the reasons i wont put in a sound system or audio stuff, it can get ganked so quickly.....

 

I'm just gonna fix the damaged console and foreget putting another sound system...

More thieves need to be maimed by us thirdgeners. THen they will know not to mess with us. It's hard to steal stereos when you have a missing arm or leg.
I hope you find them and punish them.

 

That's why I decided to leave the stock tape player in my IROC. I don't know who in their right mind would wanna steal that thing. Still, that sux, some people need to get a life. Total

 

Hey i gotta radio for sale, aquired it umm.......well ill sell it cheap............im kidding man. That sux. Id find who ever did it. If i couldnt find em, I'd go on a spree of blinding violence to all known thieves, id get to em sooner or later.

 

heh maybe you can leave your stock radio in place and put a nice one under the panel where the ash tray is and then just stick the ash tray panel over the top of it when you're not in the car.

I use the same dummy deck in my car too. I've used it successfully for most of a year now. For a flush stereo install kit, get the one by scosche. It's only $5 at www.sounddomain.com it's part number scogm1516B. It even has the rough pattern to match the rest of the dash. There was no cutting or anything for the flush mount install, and I've got a pretty long deck. I wish I had a pic of it though.
