good engine\brake caliper (any anything else cast iron) paint..
i got some Krylon Rust Tough Enamel PRIMER. and some Dupli-Color Ceramic Engine Enamel PAINT (red)..
and i painted my calipers. i cleaned them up and got all the rust off and all that good stuff. and i sprayed the primer on. and it went on perfectly. like a beutiful coat that was smooth and all that. went on very nice. so i thought that the actual paint would go on just as nice. so i spray it on. and its runny and doesn't go on nearly as thick as i though it should. its really runny and crappy.. and takes alot of coats to look nice.. i can't see how u would want to paint an entire engine with this stuff. am i missing out on a step or something. what is some better stuff out there?

I've used Duplicolor on the 350 block I'm building and I had no problems.
I have to say I cheated a little though.
First I cleaned the block, then masked it off. I didn't primer it because I never have before. Then I sprayed some of the paint into a cup and blotted the engine with those sponge type brushes you can get at Menards. I just dipped and blotted, dipped and blotted, etc. Then after I let that sit overnight.
Blotting it on like that left it really dull, but it covered well and didn't flake off. Next I sprayed it with a real light coat to give it it's shine back. It's looks great and didn't take long. I don't know how it's gonna hold up to heat, but we'll see if I ever get the damn motor put in.
