I have my plenum, runners and base off of the car to do an intake manifold gasket,among other things.I am going to polish the plenum and runners,has anyone ever done the base?If so,got any pics,I imagine it would be a PITA but it would sure look nice.

 

ya i did. but i would not recommend it at all. it took way to long and the worst thing is that you can only see 1/4 of it. not woth the time if you ask me.You jsut can t see it

I would have to agree with Trigger. Polishing the base would be a complete waste of time, you can't really see it anyway. Just do everything else and save yourself the time and effort for some other mods.

 

Thanks for the pics.I think maybe I will just clean it up real good and maybe paint it.I've got plenty to do already and I'm definetly doing the plenum and runners and that will take long enough!
