Ouch man, I've washed my car several times till I left for college, glad I didn't get a ticket for that.

Yep, this past summer in MD was one of the dryest, if not the dryest in like 100 yrs would be my guess.

There were water restrictions all over. Including no washing cars.

ANY non-profit organization will work...........they can't make money.....if you are over 18....then laws don't apply to what you can & can't do.......

Just think of it as getting paid $20 per hour to pay your ticket.......

5 hours is nothing man. I wish we had the option to do community service in Illinois.

We had a drought here in MI over the summer. It wasn't too bad because they let us use the outdoor water on odd-even days. If your address ended in a odd number you could wash your car on odd numbered days of the month.

Another option is a product called Dri-Wash-N-Guard. This stuff can be applied to a somewhat dirty car (no mud or anything harsh) and you wipe it off then polish it with a dry cloth.

Here's a pic of my old Vette after using the product....

As you can tell it works excellent. A 20oz. bottle costs $20 and does the car twice.
