Need help please!!

alright, i don't know where to put this so since this gets the most views i'm sticking it here.

i want to buy an enclosed trailer for my car.......problem is that all enclosed trailers have a stock minimum height. my city won't allow me to keep the trailer in the driveway so i must park it in the back yard. there is a valence that i can't remove that overhangs off of the garage which limits my height to 8' 3" the trailer is 8' 7"

i have to go through this way no other choice; is there a way or a solution to possibly lower the trailer for a time being to make it through.

cutting up the house isn't an option and neither is digging a one foot trench either.

i've thought about lowering the tire pressure but i don't think it will be enough and car trailers don't exactly have adjustable suspension.......

any ideas????

This might sound dumb, but maybe remove the wheels and make a support piece with LOTS of smaller wheels (like shopping cart wheels) to support the weight so you can roll it back there. Then when you need to use it, roll it out and put the regular driving wheels back on? I dunno just trying to help lol.

ground is hard clay.....also, no cement so the use of really small wheels would be bad.

thanks for the help though! the axles are 6 bolt, they do not make smaller than a 15" wheel on this type...could i possibly use an adapter to use a smaller wheel like a 13"?

anyone else...

Well I believe they use leaf springs so im sure if you have to you can lower the trailor, but I would do it. You said if you park it in your back yard? Can you possibly do that?

You could probably find somewhere to park the trailer off your property. If you can afford a trailer, I imagine you could probably afford a spot in a storage center. I pay 75 a month to garage my car.....and it's much safer than on the street at my house. A trailer doesn't even need a "unit"...more like just a parking spot. Security is great cuz people park RV's and campers. With all that available....a trailer is no target for would be theives.

Just a thought.

appreciate the suggestions..........currently i keep the car in the garage. i'd rather keep it in the trailer over the winter when i'm not messing with it.

it does have leaf springs, but i have no idea how you would go about lowering it and it probably isn't the best idea for practicle use.

paying to keep it somewhere defeats the purpose of purchasing it. any other ideas.... damn the city and their rules.

it's not like it's a 1970 40' beat up winny.

Have you looked into those enclosed air bubble "things" for lack of a better word. I think I saw them in nextgenparts.com or Car and Driver mag in the back. They have one built especially for outdoors and one for inside. Suspose to keep the car moisture and dust free. If this is along the line of what you might need let me know and I will find it. It's somewhere in my junky office.
