Have any of you all heard of u-wrench-it and know what it is about. I heard it was $30. What can you get and how much can you get. How does it all work?

If your in FLORIDA you can call it here and find out. It looks like a pick and pull boneyard here.

Ok it just looks like a pick and pull junk yard. I dont know about the 30 dollar deal. Maybe they are avertising certain parts for that price but they cant charge 30 bucks for anything in the boneyard there. If you havent been to a pick and pull junk yard basicly its just a junk yard that you might have to pay 2 bucks or something to get in. You walk around the yard with your tools and find the part you want on the car you see. You pull the part off youself and take it to the front and pay for it. This way you R not paying for them to pull the part and its cheaper that way. You might want to call the one nearest to you and find out about that 30 dollar deal. But thats the best I can come up with. </font>

my neighbor was talking about going there and getting a 4banger for is sammuri (sp?) I think he said an engine was going for $100. even for a 350.....hmmm I don't know about that. you might be able to get a TBI out of an old truck or something and build from there, not a bad way to start though.

I went to the one near Oceana and the prices are decent, $1 to get in, but there wasn't many newer cars there when I went about 2 months ago.

The only thing that scares me about buying a junk engine is a cracked block.

the ad your refering to is, "anything you can CARRY out for 30.00" which means exactly that you have to be able to carry it out of the yard. not many people can carry a assembled engine so I think theyre safe.
