Bracket (A/C & AIR) POLISHING?

Has anyone polished their A/C bracket? I don't know if it is even possible or not. Just curious if it can be polished and if someone has please tell me how. Thanks

If it's aluminum, you can polish it.

heres what i did....grease lightening the whole thing...get it nice and clean..then take some acetone to get grease and oils off...then i took some cast aluminium paint and spray painted them....also...after i cleaned them...i took a dremel tool with the disc and smoothed out the joints and stuff where there was left over casting....cleaned them up real nice...

i have another set of brackets that ill clean up and then take them to be powdercoated silver...that looks polished...i think its called almost chrome or something like that...

That silver looks good. I have a dremel tool also and I was thinking that maybe I could use it to polish the thing. Think that would take a while huh? Do you know how much it cost to powder coat something like that? Also, did you remove that pulley or just paint it while it was on there?

That sounds good to me. I notice you are from Raleigh, Where would you recommend getting something powder coated? I am from Fayetteville. Are you going to take off the Idler arm for that?

Oh by the way one other thing, You wouldn't happen to know anyone that has something powdercoated so I can see what it looks like do ya?

i know of 2 places that powdercoat....ones in raleigh and one is in apex...

the one in raleigh is off of new hope church rd or something like that...

and the one in apex is T&R custom street rods thats off of 10-10 rd....

heres an image of what powdercoating looks like...this is off of Zephers car...its very durable...wont scratch off...it can resist heat too...grease and dirt just wipe off of it....

There are MANY diff colors of powdercoating...

Did u know that there is a club called GM Muscle of the Carolinas??...most of us are in the raleigh/benson area...let me know if u are interested and i can get u more info...

I am interested in being in a club but my participation level will not be what other guys can do. I have 2 children and a wife and a big inside dog that take up a lot of my time. This is why I have new parts to put on and can't find the time to put them on. I can't stand that. But, yes please let me know about that club.
