What was the process on that AC canister? Did you sand it down at all with very fine paper and then rubbed in that Mothers alum. polish, and then buff it out? I would like to know b/c that looks really good and mine, well looks like poop! Nice job man.

i used rough steel wool then i used 0000 and 00 cant remember which is the finer stuff in which order, the one is metal polish other one is called final finish, then after that applied mothers like 3 times.

i did a side by side comparision of steel wool vs 2000 grit, 2000 gave a better shine. So use the 2000.

Which did you apply 3 times?



Heres mine wet sanded with 2000, went over with mothers Alum polish one time very lightly, and buffed off with a towel. I noticed the harder I rubbed on the aluminum polish, the more hazzy and cloudy it got.

Sanded in circles, did the aluminum polish in circles, and buffed off in circles.
