Amen to that brother! I love the way those rims look on black cars. I saw those on a white one, but it didn't look that good for some reason. Sweet ride man!

Those vette wheels look very nice, new and old. What size tires are you guys running? I am considering the Vortec Z wheels at performance wheel outlet because I like the sizes and don't need spacers. They are Y2K Cobra wheels I guess. Has anyone seen a 3rd gen wearing these yet? Anyways I want 17x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rear and didn'nt decide on tire sizes yet.

The rims are beautiful, but unfortunately with mine (probably most as well), I am doubtful that I would ever be able to get lowering springs or anything like that. The rear wheels scraped the wheel well to begin with and I had to have em banged out a little. On the other hand, I kinda like being able to get over speed bumps without having my air dam scrape.
Thanks a million for the compliments guys... I like the new style C5 wheels as well, but we all need some beefier brakes to use a small spoke like that...
To answer the questions - I went 17x9 in front and 18x11 in the back with 2.5" spacers all around. I also added stiffer spring in the back otherwise the tires would rub on a full tank and good bump.
I no longer own the '92... It is somewhere in NJ now - I want i back! I am currently looking at an '02 SS Vert #240 in Sunset Orange Metallic. It is a neighbors car and he says it has to go!
Anyway, thanks again guys!

I just bought a set of the C5 wheels like this for my 89, but I haven't picked them up yet. I was wondering- after you got yours on the road, did youhave any tire or wheel vibration problems? I thought that maybe the spacers would add to runnout and at hiway speed maybe some vibration. Thanks
I had absolutely no problems with vibrations. The passanger side rear rubbed on swooping bumps on a full tank of gas. I was actually missing a stud for a few days on the front right corner and it didn't make a difference. Make sure you get some quality spacers!!!!

I had probs with the fender well rubbing as well, but I had it pounded out a lil. For the spacers, definitely contact skulte.com . I looked for many different types, these seem to be the only that are stable.
