Corvette rims on a thirdgen
Corvette rims on a thirdgen
Hey everyone,
I bought a set of rims of off a '98 Vette and was wondering if the bolts (stems) are long enough so the rims can fit on my '92 Firebird, this way they can just slide right on.....
Thanks.

Thanks for the quick info. I just got these Vette Rims this week. They are the 98 C5 thick 5-Stars. Front 17x8.5 and rear 18x9.5
They are in better then perfect shape. The guy lived 10 minutes from me and I got them for $300. No shipping costs. I think that was a pretty good price. Before I go and purchase a set of new tires I want to see how these are going to look on my car. I am getting a set of wheels from a local Vette shop, front and rear that came off another Vette. My friend own a shop so putting them on the rim and balancing costs me nothing. Again, thanks for the quick info. I probably will go with the Skulte but I want to look other places as well. Also, does anyone have any good experience with BFGs G-Force T/A KDW? I need a good wet traction tire since I live in Florida. The Radial T/As I have now are the worst things in the world for wet driving. Thanks All

Yeah, my friend has them on his Avenger and they are alright. Since you saved some cash with your new wheels i am sure buying those tires isn't a problem. I went with the Kuhmos. All around good tire, especially for the price. IMO, the most expensive is not always the best. These tires work well for me but i hear they do not last so long, i wouldn't know. They have a little over 100 miles on them and they were on 01 SS wheels. They are now on 02 Z06 wheels but i have yet to drive with them on these wheels. For the price, you really can not beat them. I am sure, if you go flooring your car in any type of wet weather you are bound to loose traction. I have the BF's comp T/As on my stock iroc wheels and i like the Kuhmos better. good luck with your decision and nice find! later

Thanks. I was actually looking at the Kumhoslast not on the computer and I did like them. All together they were about $100 or so cheaper but dont have the tread life of the BFGs. That is why I was looking more towards those. Thanks again for the info.
