SS Wheels

I'm just curious as to wether anyone has tried or has the new 10 spoke SS wheels on their 3rd gen. If so, a pic would be nice. I'm thinking about a set, and I wondered what they might look like.

The cars look awesome, what did you have to do about getting the fit on there though? Wheel spacers? Or can I get them ready to just bolt on there?

Ive got 2.5 inch spacers up front, admittedly they may have been too big and i do have rubbing if the wheel is all the way turned. The rear end is from a 4th gen so i didnt need spacers back there. Im all bolt ons under the hood, got my superram in my bedroom waiting for me to afford a LPE 219 cam. Thanks for the positive replies though.

Those look nice! What color is your car? Do you have pictures of it? For tires i used the Kumhos, not a bad tire at all. I had them on the 10 spokes and they handled well in all conditions. For the money you really can not beat them. The only thing bad about them is that they have a bad tread life from what i hear. good luck with those wheels

the wheels are awsome. my car is under construction, im doing a complete rebuild. Im thinking the best color to paint the car is the new corvette electron blue with a red pearl, im not sure on the red pearl but I thought it would be different. im still not set on what tyres im getting, im spending too much money into the car so I might just get some crappy tyres that I can burn off

Go with the blue! You will be happy with it. It looks great during the day and looks black at night. The color is similar to mine, dark blue matallic. Later

From where? When i got mine i got them off of ebay for $400 plus shipping, which was $74 to my door. Not bad, i got them over a year ago off of a 01 ss. I got a good deal on my z06 wheels too, but not for $400! lol

I could have gotten aluminum finish for alot cheaper but I am a chrome person. The whels are off a 2002 camaro SS with the SLP package, the guy drove his car off the lot to his house, about 30 miles and put his new 18 fiske wheels on that he bought, so these wheels are absolutly in perfect shape, i couldnt find a better price on chrome ones anywhere. I even got the lugnuts I felt pretty special knowing what car they came off of. heres a pic of the guys car

I love the SS wheels on a 3rd gen.... but the 10 spoke and the ZR1's. Personally I am partial to the aluminum version of both, but ZR1's mostly. They both look so good on there tho.... fit the cars so nicely. The only thing is, in order for these 17'' 4th gen wheels to fit and look optimal, you need to lower the car a little bit due to the smaller sidewall. HybridZ has it done nicely on his with the alumnium ZR1s.

Its amazing how so much 4th gen stuff seems to fit thirdgens better than the 4th gens! Ex. Rectangular Z28 tips, ZR1 wheels.

I hear that. 4th gen stuff does look better on 3rd gens, right down to the seats and everything.

Yup.
I'd love to stick an LS1 under the hood but it'll be awhile before I get that crazy.
