Compounding and Detailing
Compounding and Detailing
I need opinions of which buffer I should get. My auto shop teacher in school uses an older Makita, the 90 degree pro one. I just started with learning out to detail my car, I would like to purchase my own buffer. I heard that Portar Cable makes a good one. Which one would you recommend, in which it won't be as easy to burn through the paint, but still get amazing results. Also I plan on using Gliptone Show Gloss, and 3M Rubbing compound. I plan on working on the hood first, any advice on working on it? Should I tape off the plastic hood vents? Also, is it safe to wetsand the entire hood? Basically if someone could give me a basic run down of which order I should do what in, I would appreciate it. Also, what can I use for the front bumber, I heard you can't use compound.
