I think i see your problem actually. That white can of polish that you are using. You held it on the wheel to show reflection and i see it siting on your bench.Drop that stuff and go buy the polish i use.Its called blue magic.U can get it from pepboys i think.Try that stuff out on a spot i think you will change your shorts afterwards.

Looks nice, I think I'll finish mine in the spring. But I'm going to use compounds and buffing wheels to get a better shine.

Yeah i used mothers.....but i will try and use that other stuff that your talking about.....well see what happens. As for how i did them......washed them off, then stripped the whole rim of all the clear coat..then started at 180 grit dry. Then went to a 320 wet, then a 600 dry. Then went to a 800 wet and finnaly a 1500 dry and wet. To finish i used 3&M untra fine cut rubbing compound, then 2 coats of mothers. The pics really dont get the shine out but i think they came out great. Alot better then what they were before.

I also did the same wheels
But i did
paint stripper
wire disc
180 wet
340 wet
400 wet
acrylic paint polish.
and they look like mirror....
the sanding of yours is OK ...they look like new
but the shine lacks a bit....keep polishing them with some compound
Good luck ...i have no hq pics ,they all sucks
