Proper height and size of new valve covers

I was thinking of getting some TD chrome ones or a pair of summitracing ones.....would these work though?..i mean would i be able to install them without having any probs clearing anything or fitting properly????

Yes they will fir assuming you do not have roller rocker arms. (Roller rockers usually require a taller valve cover) Also, since your car is an 89, i assume its the original engine, which means you will need centerbolt valve covers. Actually, for a cheap chrome set, you can go to Pep Boys, they sell a set for older style perimeter bolt, or newer center bolt, both are $40 a set. My friend and I put a set of the centerbolt ones on his dads 93 Chevy pickup and they fit great.
