Mark, i think you need to fix your carb tuning, your o2 readouts were all messed up. i doubt you will ever realise the the full potential of that engine without work on the tuning of the carb.

also where are you going re-dyno it at? i am getting exaust done next week hopefully, and would like to redyno mine also.

Are you talking about the red Camaro that was with you in Greenville? I can't remember his name.

Mark are you sure thats a 280 comp cam? I had a 280 magnum in a 402 once and it had a very choppy idle.. I dont remember your car idling any worse than mine with the little 256XE? If its a used cam maybe you got ripped.. If its new maybe its not the right one.. Throw a dial indicator on it and check it out. Also I've noticed a few people on here lately with disappointing dyno results. Maybe we're expecting too much?!

And for everybody who dont know my little 327 came up with 227rwhp @ 5000 rpm and a nice flat torque curve that peaked at 273lb/ft @ 3500. Was wishing for more but the combos pretty mild. Sounded sweet at 6k though!

yeah dude your car sounded pretty good. well thats what the cam card says. its a comp cam blank...that was a custom grind.. *shrugS* the motors coming out when the car gets painted this summer,im going to clean up the engine bay a bit... hopefully by then ill have the extra cash so i can buy the set of AFR heads i want...and who knows...the 350 might turn into a 383 or something along those lines.

WHOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLEY ****! it was dry today! muahahahahahha.... open headers i drove the transam into albany...which is roughly 12-15 miles from my house...all i have to say is

i stopped and stalled it up to launch it...see how it was through the gears...JEESUS FUGGIN CHRIST! it feels like a new motor...no kidding hehe i left a set of badass marks on the ground 1st gear spun for about 10-15 feet...i had to let off..then get back on it...it tried to break loose again...then i shifted into second at like 5300...laid another 5-7 foot patch and got it all shiiiiity sideways...shifted into 3rd around 5k and it chirped it HARD! wo0o its nice enough outside that i took the t-tops off on the drive home

Mark,

After looking at the parts you had in that engine, and the fact it only put out that few hp and didn't have headers but an LG4 exhaust, I knew is was just constipated exhaust-wise

So does that feel like an extra 50 hp or what???

Glad to see you smiling about it. I can hear the whoops of joy clear up here in Alberta

Maybe I'm thinking of something else, but isn't that cam anything but mild?
