I thought "reverse lockout" was for automatics? If you go fast enough to worry about speed shifting into 5th gear, then you've got bigger ***** than me.

I'd also be interrested in knowing how this switch prevents you from shifting into reverse. I'm not aware of anything internally in the transmission that will prevent it at the flip of a switch.

T56 6 speed manual has reverse lockout, heres the pattern, normally its controlled by the pcm, but you can put it on a switch.

all the reverse lockout is is a solenoid that prevents the shifter from moving into reverse. You can out it to a switch and turn it on and off all the time, or you can just put a little extra force on it and push through it. Thats what i do. the thought of having ANOTHER switch in my car to compliment the other 14,000 just doesn't appeal to me...

That is a very small cam considering the displacement...

Yes the cam is a fairly mild cam. I would of put something like the CC306 cam if i was keeping it normally aspirated but i figure i'd keep it on the milder side since i have a ATI D1-SC waiting to be installed on to it.

I'd love to start installation, but theres a little problem where i am right now, right now we have 15 inchs of snow and its only 2:30 and its not suppose to let up till tommarrow, so i think we gonna get like 2 feet. This affects my installation time by a bunch. I can't even drive it to the store to get food.

Active tuning is hosting the article. We're sorta practicing on our article writing skills. LOL. Check out the future mods JohnyIROC, those are the mods not completed yet, that expect to be completed before thirdgen nationals. 1991-Z28's car is expected to be finished very shortly.

So basically... you are letting Active Tuning take credit for YOUR work because you think they might help you pay for some suspension pieces?

no no, JohnyIROC, Active tuning is not taking any credit for the work. Its just me and my friend just writing a article of my car and just showing everybody my progress. Active tuning is hosting my article and has been giving me ideas on some cosmetic things. Dave at active tuning is really good friends with me so me and him are just writing the article to show what i've done. Thats all. I hope you enjoyed reading the article as well as everybody else.
