This is off topic and you can lock it if you want but I think it's the least we can do for the people serving our country. Maybe make it a sticky also.

i don't think it's off topic, without our freedom, we wouldn't be able to drive our cars, and there are plenty of troops on this board that own 3rdgens.
Thanks for the thanks,
Been serving for almost 21 years, some of the young troops, most around the same age as most of you here, keep asking me why I stick around if I can retire and start collecting half my current wages as retirement pay. I tell them, our country needs us old fellas to stick around, specially right now...
Will stay around as long as the Air Force will keep me..

I am also a member of the army. Not very often someone actually thanks you. Kinda feels good when they do. Appreciate it. And yes, like Rudy said we do need some of people like him to stick around. Some people join for reasons like getting an education, and some just join because we love our country and want to protect our freedom.

im american and proud of it. i dont care what peopel think, call me ******* or whatelse but ive displayed this flag since i got the car and i had it in the back of my cavalier as soon as i had it before sept 11th.
Nice touch hamspiced, I would love to be able to fly my red white and blue that way, but it is improper military protocol to display the flag like that on base. I have my flag outside my house with proper lighting like we are supposed to. I live on base. So I will enjoy the fact that there are folks like you displaying our colors...
