My completed GoodMark Cowl Hood install
Here are 6 pictures of my finished GoodMark Cowl Hood install. I blended the paint onto both fenders and front facia, re-painted the spoiler and bought new front parking lenses and Bowtie grill to replace the old pitted parts. Here's the first picture:

Close up of the Cowl intake. It's supposed to be a 2" high intake but, I measured it at 4" at the rear of the hood. It does block some vision but, I'm getting used to it.

It looks nice but my concern would be...
How much does that weigh? It looks pretty beefy and heavy.

I ordered a 1 1/2" offset air cleaner base because as you can see from the underhood picture, the air cleaner lines up slightly off with the center of the hood opening.
Update: I returned the offset air cleaner base because I wasn't satisfied with the results. I now have a 14" K&N Xstream Lid which works well with the underhood air cleaner cutout even though it still sits off center.

I bought the hood from www.goodmarkindustries.com it cost $429 plus $95 for shipping but, my friend who owns the shop received a 20% discount and bought it for around $439 including the shipping.
I was thinking... wow , nice... that's neat... until I saw the plate with the holes , that's just hideous to me
rest of it looks great though
I would prefer seeing it without the plate there or making it functional with some sort of a flap that opens when the car is in drive. Just an idea... (anything but those drilled out holes ! LOL )

I like your hood. I find many people get them cowled up way to high, where yours seems to have just the right height. And it pleasently matches the car.

The plate is a good idea unless you want leaves and all kinds of other crap getting into your engine bay.
The functional flap would be a good idea but im sure it would cost alot more.

I think the hood was designed with the metal grate in the rear of the scoop to make the hood more rigid also, thanks for all the nice comments.

That looks awsome!! Now that makes me rethink getting an SS hood. Great points about the under hood light and hood seals. By the way, do you have a side shot of the entire car with that hood on? Nice looking ride.

Nice hood, beautiful Camaro. Since everyone has an opinion, here's mine; I think it would look better, or more "factory" if you painted the cowl vent (where the holes are) either flat or satin black.

In this picture you can see how the back edge of the cowl looks kind of cut off. I wish the back edge of the cowl was a little more angled with the windshield. I was contemplating welding on a piece of metal and fabricating it to fit the angle of the windshield but, I didn't have the time to do it.
