I believe a couple are doing them with 2nd gen vents. Try a search, it has not been discussed too long ago. Looks good IMO. Are you talking about the vents behind the rear wheel, more towards the ground? I believe i saw a site where a guy had that done as well. It is not hard to those who are good at body work or who have the right tools. So it can be done i would think. good luck

In the previous posts related to this very topic, i believe that question had come up too. The answer, as far as i know is that they are no longer made/carried through GM. So try ebay, junkyards, classifeds. Who knows, you might be able to get lucky. I believe flyinlow92rs bought a set from ebay. Or maybe it was another member? I would say try a search, but i believe the search option is still closed down.

I'd love to do a search...in fact I was going to before I posted this but they disabled it. I'm talking about the vents behind the front wheels. If anyone has any pics even a photoshop job so I can see how it would look that would be great.

OK, I just bought a set for 70-81 Trans am's on ebay for 30 bucks.

There is another auction for the same type on as well, bidding is starting at .01 ... take a look at those cause that is the style i am using. search on ebay for 'trans am vents'

When i get them, and get them in, i will let you all know...

good luck with that. I think the only "major" problem people have come across is the power antenas, if you have one. later

I like the 80-81 Z28 louvers better then the TA's because....to me..the fit the body better....they have a "sleeker" look.....from the angle ot the pics....it looks liek they won't fit....but..they will. I had to buy a set of gaskets for them...and I'm going to use them as a pattern...and there is JUST enough room for them to fit

LOL..i wish I could...but..I have to wait until spring...or whenever the temps will warm up. There is one thing that I will have to do so they will install properly. On the back of the louver....whre it actually fits into the car....I'll have to shave it down like a 1/4 of an inch. If it's not shaved down...then..it would hit the frame that holds the fenders on and stuff. I think it's REALLY going to make a great addition to my car :O)

you should take those vents and put them on the opposite fender. the reason i say that is because it will sit upsidedown and the back of the vent will fit the shape of the fender.

Are you talking about the lower vents behind the front wheels on 3rdgen T/As or the high fender ones on 2ndgens?
