Sorry to bring this back from the dead, but I am going to try to do this in a couple weeks too, and I have a question: How would you keep the tint light enough to show only grayscales (original idea), and keep the tint from blackening everything out? Any thoughts? If no one knows, I'll just try on my own.

which style are you leaning towards? I looked through the old thread and I saw several different ideas thrown around. I personally liked the all blacked out look. The all but reverse blacked out and the amber changed to red also looked nice. Don't be affraid to give it a shot. The tint spray is cheap and if you have junkyards around you there should be replacement lights readily available if it's a major disaster.

wow thats a great idea! so what is it like a spray paint type thing that tints it??? what is it called?? is the back lights still bright enough ofter tinting them?? also would doing this hide any cracks in the tails?? i'm gunna do this asap> it looks amazing!! i just need u to tell me the name of the stuff or what to ask for at a shop?
thanks
thanks
the name has already been mentioned before, its called vht nightshades spray tint,. you can either buy it from summit or some local auto stores might cary it as well. i personally did the spray tint mod to my old camaro and it turned out pretty good, although i was dumb and didnt put clear coat over it, so the lights didnt really have any gloss to them they just had a flat black color
