About my Tail lights,
Heres the Before and After shots!
This is not a photoshop i did this in paint so its not the best!
i want your opinions...

I think it looks good, and I like the black out look with out having to get real blackouts. I just love the stock grids too much though You had to create a new s/n to attach the pics.

 

Looks kinda like SSaudio's taillights but with a clear reverse, I think it looks better with the reverse being clear then all black IMO, I say do it as long as when you apply the brakes or use your turn signal it comes out red.

Well it looks good, but can it be done right? Has anyone ever used that headlight spray that blacks things out? Im not sure what it is called, but you should get what im sayin. Would that stuff work? If so, I just might try it!

The stuff is called VHT nightshades. Summit sells it for $7 a can (or so).

Yes the lights will still be red and amber, even dimmed out white if you do the reverse lights.

Is it legal? I don't know, check your local laws.

your car is exactly the same color as mine.. except i dont have grey on mine. i liked it all blue on yours! but i guess its like 50 against... me. still nice car though!

Hey I think that looks pretty cool. You'll have to borrow someone's camera when you get done so we can see the final product.

 

give it a try let us know how it works out, might want to get an extra set of tail lights incase you run into problems.

 

i would imagine its like a black spraypaint kindof. maybe painthinner will get it off.

 

So...YOu just get this spray and spray it on the out side of the plastic...Well if you do wont the weather and it like get scratched off? how exactly would u do it?

 

The reverse lights stick out though. I would just black those out too, then it will look 100% great.

 

I've painted my Tailights all red and have driving through some bad storms and it's still on there as good as ever

Any other tail light mods? IM definitely going for the black outs but not going to do that till this summer...so any other ideas or whatever go for it

 

I tried some photoshoping ideas for my stock base taillights and they all looked kind of cheesy, like those taillight and headlight masks. The stock lights looked better.


In your case, I would black out all the lights or just leave them stock, no variations in between.

 

I just realized, what about the 3rd brake light? black that out? or make a custom clear cover.... i don't need it,

 

Ive seen some cool ones done with the third brake light but my favorite was a bowtie. He took the cover off. masked off a bowtie on the inside of it and painted the rest all black and when the paint dried he peeled the tape off and when he now hits the brakes it looks cool, all you can see is the bowtie.

 

tHOSE ARE SOME COOL IDEAS. I LIKE THE ONE WHERE U CAN ACTUALLY SEE THE reverse lights tho. good originallity tho Got anymore?
